Wanderer Cottages

We are on a road trip and chose to stop at Kennebunk to eat and stay. We are so glad we did. This town has so many boutiques and is so cute. The cottage is gorgeous. The landscape is beautiful. The staff were so kind. My diet is gluten free and they made sure I had a muffin I could eat. If I'm ever back this way, I will intentionally book here.

This was an amazing place to stay! Shannon and her staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful with local suggestions. We use the bikes they had on site to ride to the beach. The heated pool was great on a 70 degree afternoon. The cottages were well decorated with comfortable and clean linens. We had a great time meeting other guests each night out at the campfire. Just an all-around great experience you wont regret booking!

I was excited for our stay at the Wanderer Cottages, and was completely blown away when we checked in! They completely exceeded our expectations in every way - we were greeted upon check in with delicious cocktails and warm cookies (and they were great at communicating ahead of time to confirm check in time to ensure someone was there to get us in or if they needed to send digital instructions), and the property is simply beyond charming! We didn't use the pool since it was too chilly, but loved roasting s'mores over the fire pit and chatting with our cabin neighbors. The cabins are small (plan accordingly - don't overpack and it's truly just room for two), but the decor is refreshingly modern and coastal, the bed is cozy, and the bathrooms have everything you could need! They deliver breakfast to your porch every morning which is such a thoughtful touch and even give you a departing gift for the road when you check out! It's extremely quiet and just a quick drive to Kennebunkport (you can even bike if you'd like). My only regret was that we were only there for one night! Would have loved to stay longer and enjoy this incredible property to its fullest!

We recently stayed 4 nights at the Wanderer and quickly fell in love with its cozy cottages and its staff. We reserved a one-bedroom cottage which was plenty of room for two of us and just as charming as it appeared online. The owner and his team have an eye for detail and keep the grounds meticulous. Everyone is so hospitable and go above and beyond with so many extras throughout the stay: Continental breakfast delivered to the cottage, evening fires with smores kits, and even a parting gift. We took advantage of the bikes to ride into town (Kennebunkport) and borrowed a beach parking permit for easy parking at the beach. It was sunny but cool during our visit so we didn't use the pool but it was kept very clean and there was a little cabana filled with sunscreen and other outdoor-related sundries. We live on the west coast but have been to Maine several times but this was our first visit to Kennebunkport area. We hope to return next year and will definitely stay at the Wanderer Cottages again!
