    I am very comfortable with my apartment, but since they changed the staff in the office this has been a disaster for I don't know if it is for other residents, I have been waiting for the renewal contract for 2 months and the manager's assistant only promises and promises to send it and doesn't They don't answer my emails, and every time I need to pay my rent I have to go to the office because they never update my payment through the payment app, it's really frustrating

    We have lived here for a year and to be honest compared to the other apartments around the johnson county area this is the best place weve live no its not always quiet weve yet to find an apartment that is, saying that it is the quietest place weve lived in. The layout is goofy but cozy kitchens arent the biggest but enough room to cook and prep a good amount of food. The bathrooms are decent sized plenty of cabinet space for towels and all the extra junk The apartments are insulated well enough to where it holds the temperature for most of the day only issue we had was when it was in the negative temps Elevators are a life saver for hauling groceries Patios are decent sized and can get a full set of patio furniture on them, the pool is nice can definitely get packed but its a beautiful pool and the walking trail is nice for cool nights. Its very pet friendly almost everybody has a dog and ive yet to meet a dog that hasnt been a sweet heart In all i definitely recommend here the staff recently changed so i dont know them but they have been just as nice as the people before, yes they get busy and the office can get full but thats there job busy is good that means this place a desirable to live. Ive yet to see any other apartment that weve lived in have an office and staff that busy and still get stuff taken care of. P.S. maintenance is on top of things as well usually less than a day

    *Despite the response from the property, there wasnt a true resolution and I was still charged the amounts in this review. I lost around $2,700. Their resolution was a $400 refund and they kept the rest. * I have lost thousands of dollars in less than four days because of the quality of these apartments and poor resolution from staff. I STRONGLY recommend leasing elsewhere. This is going to be a lengthy review of my experience within the past 4 days of dealing with Waterside. I moved from out of state and did not get the chance to tour these apartments in person before leasing. I was assured that everything would be identical to the 3D model and upon arrival, they were not. There were cosmetic differences with the floor and paint color, but the real issue started when my neighbors got home and I realized how paper thin the walls are. Aside from the excessive noise and cosmetic mismatches, the floors were also not glued down and we tripped on them multiple times. The stairwell door is also broken, so it slams every time someone enters the apartment. The walls are extremely thin! I could hear my neighbor talking to his dad on speaker phone and I could clearly hear the conversation on both ends. Later that night, another man and woman arrived and I continued to hear every single thing they were saying. They were watching a sports game, clapping and cheering, and having casual conversation. It sounded like they were in my unit. Immediately, I was frustrated because all of this sound was coming from my bedroom, so I emailed the office letting them know of the issue. The following morning, I got a call from the assistant manager and she offered to switch me to a new unit. This was around 11am and I was told that she was going to finish up a few things around the office and give me a call when the lease had been switched over and the new keys were ready. Around 2:30, I had not heard anything so I followed up, noting that I was on a tight schedule and I had previously mentioned that this transfer needed to take place before the movers arrived with my items (on Sunday). I never heard from the office again until after they closed at 5pm on Saturday. She left a vm stating I will be in touch on Monday if I do happen to come in tomorrow (sunday), Ill give you a call to make sure we get you some keys Please give the office a call back if you don't hear from us by Monday. This was an issue because my movers were scheduled to arrive on Sunday and they had not yet given me the keys to the new unit, so I was going to have nowhere for my items to be delivered. My only choice was to lease an apartment at a complex that was still open which is what I did. I called the office and left a voicemail stating thats what I had to do since things were not done quickly enough. I received a call today (Monday) morning from the assistant manager and was told that I was supposed to come pick up the keys Saturday at 4pm. I was confused because I was never told this previously and she didnt call me until after 5pm on Saturday to let me know shed be in touch with me Monday to give me the keys, so I needed to speak to the property manager about the issue. After calling multiple times over 2 days and being told the property manager was busy and would call me back, I finally spoke to Kendra Despite never actually moving in and notifying them within the first 24 hours of picking up my keys that I would not be staying, she still proceeded to charge me a $1k lease break fee and a portion of Decembers rent. She said there was nothing else she could do because its a business and they need to make money. I suppose taking advantage of residents is how they do this. If you are wanting a quiet and comfortable apartment, I would not recommend leasing here. The appliances and amenities are nice, but everything else is very low quality. I thought leasing on the top floor would limit some noise but that has not been the case. This may be a unit-specific issue, so fair warning to avoid 10304 if you dont want to encounter these issues.
