    Ive used Lake City Bank for several years after moving to Northeast Indiana, but the service Ive received working through the auto loan process at the Maysville branch has really cemented my relationship with LCB. They really went the extra mile to help make the process as easy as possible, but were also looking out for my financial security every step of the way; which is service I would not expect to get at larger banks.

    This is a very unprofessional, Poorly managed, Poorly operated mess For a bank. Went in to open up a business account, Spent 48 minutes to an hour in the lobby, filling out paperwork, signing paperwork, providing Documentation from the company, And overall doing everything that needed done to get the business account opened. Signed all paperwork and then we were told we were to go. Left to get to a jobsite as we ended up there a lot longer than we were supposed, Just to get a call half an hour before they closed For the day (3-1-2024) that Leslie had ownership paperwork that she forgot to have Signed, which she had to have in order for the account to be open. Mind you, we did call in advance before ever going in to make sure that we could have a business account. I went in the following morning (3-2-2023) and filled out the remaining paperwork that needed signed, Which meant driving 30+ minutes one way, Off route, To sign paperwork that should have been signed and completed the day before. I was concerned from the start when they started asking for the Social Security numbers, private addresses, and private phone numbers for every person going on the account despite the fact that this is a business account, and it is to be opened for business purposes by a business. Leslie played it off as it was required to put us in the system, I let it go, figured not a big deal. I get how it is. At this point, Ive now been understanding that humans do make mistakes and have let it all go .Come to find out that clearly is not the case, As I am now having to make yet another separate individual trip into the bank to recollect my Original deposit from the account after the account was closed down, without informing me first, because Im Not eligible for a business account because I can only open a fresh start bank account, And people who can only get fresh start bank accounts, Are not eligible for business accounts. This makes absolutely no sense to me, because I was not opening an account for ME, As an individual with my Information, I was a company owned business account with the state provided business Information. This also makes no sense to me, Because after asking if I could be told why I wasnt eligible, I was told that she could not tell me, her Back office Just tells her that I cant have an account. I have one other bank account that has been remaining at the same bank for six years, Outside of a bank account I had open for four months, and closed down, and got money back from because I keep my accounts paid up. So outside of wasting hours of my time, Gallons of my gas, Taking my personal information for a business account, I am left to make yet another trip to the Bank with no result as to why there was any issue at all except for excuses that should not exist. I see why this bank is not very common, and I honestly think it just needs to be shut down. This is the most awful experience I have had with any company, Bank and Non bank related, Which is saying a lot considering I dont like Walmart.
