Ive been banking with Chase for years. This branch wouldnt cash a gift check even though I have more than enough funds to cover it in my account. I had to go to the issuing bank and pay a fee. This is the only branch Ive ever experienced this.

The appointment is very late and the staff is very bad. I expect that the coffee shop needs to change the staff, otherwise it will lose all the existing customers.

Just had an experience that really bothered me. I received a check from my parents for our wedding present for a decent amount of money. It was under $10,000 so I didnt think itd be a problem to cash it at the bank it was issued which is Chase. I am not a member of Chase but Ive cashed multiple checks here from my parents over the years. This was however the largest Id ever cashed. Walked in, was summoned by the lady with dark hair working today. I told her Id like to cash this check. She asked for my bank card. I explained the situation and she said she could not do this for me if I didnt bank there. I told her I had cashed dozens of checks over the years because they are the issuing bank. She said she cannot do a cashiers check I responded that I dont need a cashiers check, that I need to cash this check. She rolled her eyes at me and said shed check if she can. After a while she then told me that it could not be done and Id have to go to my own bank. Did not give me a reason but made it clear that Chase couldnt cash it. I said okay thank you, took the check and left. Went to another Chase branch and they did it no problem. AND they were nice to me. This is why I dont bank with chase. Inconsistent, rude, weird selective rules. That lady seriously gave me the worst vibe. She was hostile the second she summoned me over. Now I know she didnt help me on purpose like I thought
