Don't let the rebranding fool you, if I could leave zero stars I would. I don't even know where to begin. Living at these apartments I got mold poisoning in my lungs and am JUST starting to get my lung capacity back more than 6 months after moving out. **There IS mold in the walls, and there is without a doubt mold in the attics--don't let them gaslight you to believe otherwise.** During the hurricanes of fall 2022 my apartment got a nasty leak that left growing stains and mildew all over my walls. The leak was never fixed and continued to leak every time it rained. This was only a few months into my lease. Eventually, after months of hounding, they said it was "fixed" and painted over the stains. It turns out it was just the dry season, and with our lease renewal coming up they wanted to ensure we'd stay. And I regret to say that we did. As soon as it rained we had growing leaks and mold again. FINALLY after threatening the office with legal action they sent some roofers to take a look at the leak... The roofers proceeded to break a pipe in the attic flooding the attic and the entire apartment. Our apartment was covered in water-drenched insulation from the attic. (I also regret to add that they didn't replace any of the wet insulation in the attic, and after the pipe was "fixed" all moisture in the attic was closed right back up to grow mold in our walls.) The unit was not livable, but the Eli, or "Montrose" as it was called at the time, refused to take any accountability or even help my roommate and I find somewhere safe to stay while unit was untenable. I lost my voice arguing with management as they had no plans to have the unit professionally cleaned. No plans to replace the fiber-glass-infused carpets, or even have an inspector check for mold. (They eventually offered to replace the carpet after they were reminded that they were legally obligated to.) We were eventually given the option to move into a similar unit without any "fee" (ie; out of the GoOdNeSs of their hearts they weren't going to charge us to break the lease to move into a "SAFE" unit.) Ironically, the unit we were shown was riddled with signs of painted-over water damage. Cracks in the walls, bowing floors, swollen cabinetry, etc. It was honestly laughable. The LEAST humane, least caring, least respectful management that I have ever dealt with. It got to the point that we had to hire lawyers to help us craft legal letters demanding what basic rights tenants have. The location is convenient, and the neighborhood is pretty quiet. It's a shame that the buildings are falling apart without proper management, and that the office management have zero humanity or accountability to their basic legal obligation as landlords.
