Holiday Inn Express & Suites Florida City-Gateway To Keys, an IHG Hotel

Perfect location. Exactly what we needed.

Room: The carpet was stained, bed was stiff, and the chair was dirty. The next day there were flea bites on my wrist. Stay at your own risk. Bathroom: The water pressure was sad. The bottom of the tub was dirty, and their was a burn mark on the top outlet from what appeared to be a gnarly spark. Free Breakfast: Not a single piece of fruit for breakfast, and the sausage was soggy. My fiance is going to have a hard time convincing me to save a few bucks staying at a Holiday Inn Express.

This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had in all of our years traveling. We booked our room via the HG app. We attempted to check in and the hotel could not locate our room, even though I showed the app with our confirmation number. They were not willing to help - 1, the customer, spent 2+hours of our vacation calling corporate multiple times to get the 2 computer systems to connect. Why should 1, again the customer, have to do this. After 2+ hours in the lobby dealing with this I was told the hotel would give us 1,000 points for our complaints- that equals $8.00 - and the manager of the hotel emailed corporate and told them we declined a discount on our room. That is a bold LIE, among several other lies from him and even the customer care managers from corporate. Very uncaring from the hotel manager to corporate. We will never stay at an IHG again with this level of the poorest customer service. They not only lost our business (member since 2018) but also an entire volleyball club that we recommend to all of the players/families. I will no longer recommend IHG.

For the price paid it was very good. Very good and cozy rooms.
