image A few weeks ago I'd gotten out of the shower, was unclothed and walking into my kitchen when I noticed two men unlocking my door and entering my apartment. I ran into the kitchen for cover and screamed for them to get out. Violated and in tears, I called my father who stayed on the phone with me while he began to make his way here. In the meantime, I emailed the property manager to find out what was going on and how two unknown men had access to my home. I was terrified. I received a response saying that maintenance men had come to my home. This struck me as odd because the only maintenance request I submitted was fixed the day before by one maintenance person, not two, and not by the men that were walking into my home. There was no notification that day that anyone would be coming to my home for any reason. I expressed that I felt very uncomfortable that these men walked in while I was nude and no one notified me. Instead of me receiving an apology, I was told that they are not required to notify a tenant when they are entering a unit. I pointed out that the lease states that we will be notified, and simply requested notification if someone would be coming next time so that I would be properly dressed. They told me that they will not be notifying tenants because if they do, then they would never be able to get any work done. This is a direct violation of the lease agreement which, after pointing that out, I received a very nasty and condescending email from the leasing office to "apologize for the extra attention" that the maintenance men had given me. I was appalled considering the fact that they saw me unclothed, that was way more attention than I would have ever liked or needed. I'd only expected a simple apology and them to say that they will make sure that this does not happen to anyone else again. Instead, they chose to argue with me that there was nothing done wrong. Well, last night I was home getting ready for bed when my doorbell rang at 11:06 p.m. I went to the peephole and there was a man that I never saw before asking me to open my door because he was maintenance. I had no maintenance issues so I was unsure why he was there, especially at that time of night. There was no email or missed call or voicemail from the leasing office or maintenance, so I don't know who that man was. Today, I left my house, closed all the room doors, but left my mom's tiny dog in my living room. When I came back home, the bedroom doors were open except for one, where the dog was stuck inside that bedroom with the door closed. No shoes are worn in my home yet there were visible boot prints tracking from my front door to the bedrooms. I immediately went to the leasing office, while their hours say they were still supposed to be open, but no one was there and no one answered when I called. I am currently in my home afraid of who came in and who could possibly come back. I say all that to say, I spent a long time looking for a space that I felt comfortable only for this to have turned into a very scary living environment. The leasing office does not accept accountability or responsibility for anyone. They violate the lease and treat tenants horribly if you point it out. I am now afraid living here. If you are looking for a place for your daughter, niece, sister, or granddaughter, this is not a safe place, especially for single women. Please take heed to this because I wish someone would have warned me.
I saw their response stating that their residents peace is of the utmost importance, which is a lie. They are aware of the incidents that occurred. They still have not reached out about the unknown man that knocked on my door stating that he was maintenance at 11:06 PM or who entered my home the next day leaving dirty footprints. I have photos of them admitting to consistently violating the lease agreement as well as violating the State of Delaware's Landlord Tenant Code. They take advantage of single women and the elderly. Imagine how many people they do this to that don't have the means of leaving a public review :(

image Dont let the aesthetic fool you, this is a horrible place to live. There are consistent reports of vandalism, cars being broken into, cars and tires being stolen, yet they refuse to fix the lights in the parking lot so tenants often have to park in dark spots that are far away from their building and either not in view of cameras or the cameras dont work. A tenant had 4 tires stolen off his vehicle 3 weeks ago and they still havent fixed the lights in the parking lot. Weve all asked the leasing office to create numbered parking spots so that we can have at least one designated parking spot so we can feel safe - no luck. They refuse to work with us or help us feel safe. Since anyone can take up parking, you never know whos sitting and watching you park in a dark spot and planning to come back and steal your tires later. This used to be a clean place to live but now there is trash all over. The landscape was beautiful but now tenants are chopping down the trees that were once beautiful to look at, and making firewood and burning the wood behind the buildings. Tenants are doing this and the leasing office is okay with it. It is littered with debris from their mini bonfires but the leasing office refuses to do anything about it. There are too many fire hazards to name and they refuse to fix them or hold themselves or tenants accountable. If your appliances are broken, they just bring you a refurbished one from an old tenant, which usually smells bad and always ends up breaking. Its like pulling teeth getting them to replace anything. The garbage is always overflowing. Sometimes they close the garbage while its empty and people cant put anything inside so it all sits around the garbage area, smells really bad and attracts vermin. There is black mold in the apartments on the bottom floors so if you do move in one of those units, please check for mold because they just paint and carpet over it. I strongly suggest you read reviews on the other sites and take heed because they are all true! Dont waste your money here. Its not safe and its not clean. Leasing office is very pleasant/friendly until you move in! If you do move here, be safe!!!
EDIT: Adding that Ive seen their response and Id emailed them to notify them of these issues way before I left this review. I emailed on 7/11/23 and 9/15/23. I never received a response to those emails. Currently, the lights in the parking lot still havent been fixed since the tires were stolen which was over a month ago now and at this very moment the trash is strewn in front of the dumpsters, over 12 full trash bags with trash and old food around the garbage that has been torn apart by cats or other wildlife, and they havent even made the smallest attempt to fix anything Ive mentioned in this review. As I said, do not waste your money here, this is their pattern. They charge you large amounts of money for an unsafe and unsanitary living environment. If you google lawsuits against them, youll see that they fail to maintain the property which resulted in legal action against them. Nothing changes here.
