The Holiday Chalet

I absolutely love this place It is such a treat to stay in a place with such beautiful surroundings. The staff is awesome and they have went out of their way to accommodate me. I had no problem with the location and found parking in front. Close to everything. Thank you Randee. Rooms: The rooms are incredible. Nearby activities: Endless activities.

Bed was made but clearly had been laid on. Room was clean enough but the hallways stank of cigarettes especially on the third floor. I ended up cancelling the rest of my stay when upon returning from breakfast, I found a staff member - unequipped with any supplies - rummaging through my jewelry. No refund was issued. Its a seedy hotel, in a shady neighborhood.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to review the actual hotel - my review is regarding the service we have not received upon cancelling our reservation according to the cancellation policies in the confirmation email we received. We booked a 2 night stay through the hotel's website for October 2023 months ahead in April. We paid in full at the time of booking, which was fine, since the cancellation policy on the website and in the confirmation email said that we would get a full refund if we cancelled at least 72 hours before check-in. Our event in Denver was cancelled, and we cancelled more than a week before check-in. The hotel employee who cancelled the reservation claimed that the 'computer' was not issuing a refund and she would have to look it to it. I have made multiple calls back to the property in the 2 months since and continue to get the runaround from the only employee I seem to be able to speak to. That person seemed at first like she was trying to help, even suggesting that I would be refunded via Venmo or mail, but most recent text message suggests the owner won't refund at all and she was going to pay from her own funds? Clearly, this business or it's employee is not being truthful and has no intention of refunding the money per their own policies. Totally unprofessional and shady business practices. We will most definitely not book here again.
