Recently company I work for was purchased by another company, making the current company an entity, thus making us transfer from one financial company to another, well a company within lpl building has wrote it off as a negative investment earning, withdrawal/new loan, distribution, when in fact it was not and is not any kind of distribution, it is a transfer from one 401k to another 401k, and the way they have it wrote up is looks not so good and makes no sense, so I do not recommend any company from this building, the company that wrote everything up I don't know if they are a business of LPL or if their renting from this address, but I would stay away from them. Honestly due to this situation I don't even see the point of having a retirement if these companies are just going to come up with ways to take your funds. Good luck out there! Deal with smaller companies that care about you or seem to care.

I had wonderful luck with LPL and my advisor in the Tampa Bay area, but I find the old fashioned verifying of my account uncomfortable when they ask for the full social security number over the phone. With all the risks out there, having my full social security number said out loud to the agent on the phone (I did tell her I was not hollering at her but to pass on my being upset with the old fashioned rule to her supervisor). I know I have most companies that just ask for last 4 of social so it's not just all out there for all the see or hear. With all the cyber security issues nowadays, it really should be revised to protect my financial security and not have to say or have someone see my full social security number. I was closing out my account to use funds to buy a house and I needed to close it out and change my address and I think to protect your clients, we already have a slew of security answers I gave, why say out loud the S.S. number? These companies won't help me when my identity gets stolen so please help us protect ourselves from bad actors please!

Only good thing is the scenery, everything else about this place is just atrocious and out of place, nothing is organized, everything is last second request. On top of that anytime someone came down with COVID HR would just disregard it, any issues/complaints you got, this job DOES NOT GIVE AF. I believe the only people that will actually get you somewhere is HR, anyone else will literally disregard you the moment you leave yet they claim they "escalated" the problem. On top of that the building would always somehow be flooding and all the "engineers" would watch meanwhile the actual outside vendor engineers we would bring in would get all the work done. Overall would recommend working here if you're lazy, don't care how you dress or come to work (hungover) and are ready to learn/do nothing all day. Me personally, I got bored of doing nothing for 8 hours for 5 years straight.
