Zero customer service and personnel who cannot care less. My husband and I rented a Toyota Corolla at Hertz only to learn after coming to LA that the ignition key gets stuck and no regular tricks work to resolve the issue, hence the vehicle cannot be left anywhere safely. The customer service didnt even apologize and directed us back to the airport where the car was rented (1 hour drive). The employee checking the car at Hertz drop off confirmed its a well known and very frequent issue which no one mentioned to us or tried to mediate (e.g., by actually checking the car beforehand). After waiting in the line for 40+ min, as 2 employees only were serving customers, we were asked to wait for a gentleman who was MIA and couldnt care less either - no compensation for several hours of lost time, no apologies. I dont know who is in charge of the customer service and personnel training at Hertz but that person is not doing their job. This type of customer service is completely unacceptable.
