We are looking for an apartment for our daughter to live in next year and this place sounds amazing! We spoke to boy by the name of Carter. He was very knowledgeable and so polite on the phone. We plan to set up a tour with him in the Spring!

Well my first review was removed from yesterday if that gives you any indication of your upcoming experience & please understand the students/people who are giving the tours are in no way in control of the faults of this building and I praise most of them for there optimism on a daily basis.
About 3/4 months ago HERE Tuscaloosa had a sturdy 1 star rating (from what I know all the way back to 2021) due to the reviews based on people who already moved in and not unfortunate families who rated this place based on the initial tour (exactly how I got hooked).
The condition of the apartment (that was promised to me and signed a year long contract for + a "BEAUTIFICATION FEE "of over $100 ,on top of your security deposit and rent ).
On move in day (this is after they had charged hundreds of $$ to the prior resident and for some forgery redecoration fee,"to fix the apartment" according to the leasing agents).
Conditions of the apartment provided:
- A URINE soaked mattress, broken bed frame, holes in the wall, holes in the "hardwood floor" (some cheap vinyl), broken cabinets, missing light bulbs, filthy kitchen, dirty apartment and much more. (P.S. Management does not give a single care if you complain, once they get you to sign a leaser they are out) not a single issue was fixed or addressed by them.
They will show you a wonderful model apartment but will not let you see where your actual apartment will be.
Much to my surprise I was in a studio facing the strip (to my initial thought...great during the day)! The reality is 6/7days of the week, the two clubs below (I am located on the second to highest floor) are so loud that the bed will shake and it goes on till 12-3am. People from other sides of the building have stated that they can also hear the clubs.
I want to make clear and give credit where credit is due... the maintenance team (only people nice and have no attitude once moved in) is absolute wonderful when it comes to put in a complain, work order, or any concern even if they can't fix it (they will contact he necessary people + keep you updated on the time fixing). Saying that, this has nothing to do with that department but has to do with management and the owners. For example, in the lease it states that they are required to provide habitable conditions... Over 3 weeks in my studio apartment with a broken A/C, prior to that no heat. My room was over 80' F and hitting a high of 84 for about two weeks. I was finally provided an in-unit A/C after over 2 weeks and was told "oh, there was a miscommunication on our part, we thought you already received a unit). This is after multiple complaints from me.
The garage gates that I am sure you where told are being repaired or struck by lighting ( same thing we where told in June 2023 and have been charged for) they have just begun repairs mid April 2024.
Just want to reach out to everyone willing to give an arm and a leg to a terrible establishment.
Please look at the previous reviews prior, from residents who have actually lived hear.
