Our air has been broken for 3 weeks. Management is never available. We have been living in an 80 degree apartment with NO HELP FROM MAINTENANCE OR FACULTY AT STATE. 3 WEEKS. Do not live here. U will regret it. Hopefully a manger will see this and send someone.

I really do not know where to begin! On move in day the front lobby and everything is made out to be real nice and clean, but it’s all a lie. The apartment was filthy, every inch of it. My roommates and I had to deep clean the entire place for 2 hours before we even set anything up. The hallways are dirty and nothing here ever gets cleaned. There is zero upkeep from the owners. The paint colors are all random. There are random chips in the wall. The trash system is terrible and is so far away. Lightbulbs were out from day one and our air conditioner didn’t even come close to having a filter that fit on it and it took maintenance forever to even replace it and the lightbulbs because hub takes priority somehow. My roommates and I weren’t even allowed to tour State, but were able to tour hub and they are owned by the same company! All we got from State were pictures of a “fully†furnished unit and were not allowed to tour. We get here and are told the unit does not come with barstools even though the only idea of the unit we had were pictures with barstools looking like regular furniture. The mail room at this place is just a room that’s unprotected other than the front door. I’ve barely lived here for 3-4 weeks and I have had multiple times already where the postal carriers can’t even get into the building to deliver packages, but I’ve had packages show up on my doorstep a time or two. The package stuff makes no sense to me and it’s not just the postal people. The outward appearance of this place might be nice, but trust me it isn’t. The rents high and nothing even warrants it! The place isn’t worth the money for many different reasons and the “location†doesn’t make up for the numerous faults. Simply do yourself a favor and don’t consider this place to live at.

I am beyond disappointed with the management at State On Campus. They have not been able to meet the literal bare minimum requirements. When we signed the lease, we were all told that our apartment would be FULLY furnished. Once we showed up for move in, we were not even informed that there was NO furniture. All we have is our beds, and a very small couch (our unit is supposed to have a big one). Once we walked in we then had to go ask why there was no furniture because no one thought to tell us this when we checked in. After having to ask why we had no furniture, we were told that there is an alleged furniture shortage yet we heard no news of this until we asked. Then we were told there would be a decrease in our rent. We were told this multiple times. My parents, along with my roommates parents, have called many times to find out how much of a deduction. No helpful response has been given. We had to pay our first months rent IN FULL, and now our 2nd month’s rent is due IN FULL even though we were promised a reduction. This is unacceptable. There are more complaints to be had, but this is biggest one I have. Our unit was supposed to be cleaned before we moved in, and it was not. We had to completely deep clean the unit during our move in with no help from State. We also were promised, before signing our lease agreement and after, that our unit would be on a specific side of the complex. After management confirmed that our unit was on the side they promised us, we realized, only when we finally moved into our unit, that they put us on the literal opposite side of the complex that they promised us. Our A/C was out for over a week, and it took 3 attempts by maintenance for it to be fixed. The toilet seat in one room has been broken since we moved in, and a maintenance order has been placed, and it is still not fixed. It also leaks in our living room when it rains. We have only lived here since August 14th and have already had all of these issues.

Our air conditioner has been out since last night and our apartment is now at 82 degrees and no one has come to fix it when we put in a work order yesterday.
