Aloft Birmingham Soho Square

Location was great to enjoy Homewood. Front desk staff were helpful. Hall smelled of marijuana as did the cleaning staff. Didn't leave us towels or wash clothes. Outdated heat/ac and blows directly on the bed. Light from bathroom shines onto bed as well--poor design. Dirty floors. Must pay for parking in deck. Some free street parking

Good location, but the room was very outdated. The staff were nice and friendly. However, the room wasn't very clean, no trash bags in the trash cans. Was giving a joining room & one of the lock that separates the rooms was broken.

Unless you like dry cheerios and coffee for breakfast, look for elsewhere. For the price of a room here, the LEAST they could do was provide Honey Nut Cheerios and milk.

Night desk clerk was awesome, very professional! Morning desk clerk total opposite, wore out tennis shoes & jeans, hair looked like he slept on it, no customer service skills, no may I help you or thank you, dang near rude!!!! Never smiled at all, as if I was interrupting him! Al least seem happy and dress professional, this isnt a days inn! Room was clean, door to bathroom was hard to close.
