Been here since 8:00 am fasted for blood work, didnt get blood drawn until 9 am, then when I got here at 8 I tried to check in but a certain woman working at the front desk who obviously doesnt speak very good English, shood me away to the lab after telling her, I have blood work, I just want to let you guys know Im here, and then tells her co workers I asked her where the lab was. No maam, I had a number you have to take for the lab to signify your place in line. How do I not know where the lab is if I have that? Its now 10:20 am and I still havent been seen. This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a medical facility. Im only here for my annual health check up, nothing crazy.

The lab takes to long, I live closer to other VA locations and this clinic wont let me go to lab that is closer! Hard to get a message to my doctor. Love my Dr. Detmering

Now these doctors are at the VA North Bexar Outpatient Clinic. Dealing with these incompetent, 3rd world medical graduates (primary care physicians) is more torturous than dealing with PTSD. Two PCP have refused to send me to get an MRI (for over 2 years). First, she claimed that an MRI will not revealed the cause of my pain. This left me wondering how she made it through medical school. On a second visit, she stated that if the MRI happens to shows arthritis, she will not treat me for it. She will not administer pain medication or recommend for surgery, or treat the problem at all. She wants me to do physical therapy, when my back feels as if its breaking. And this is the 2nd doctor, the first one has a similar MO, however she was even lazier. Never got up from the computer to assess my body. Not one time.

Personnel at facility are truly professionals. Rearly have to wait for appointments.
