Doctor Hung is great. But it’s his receptionist that is rude and doesn’t have any customer service skills none what so ever.

My parents are Vietnamese and have been visiting doctor Hung Dang for many years and really like him. I give 4 stars is for that reason. The waiting sometime is long sometimes. One thing that I do not like the most is the smell of the office. It is so strong that I do not want my kids in there. Once getting inside for a while, I will get use to the smell. However, I never like the smell of the office. I wish the doctor can do something about it for the sake of the elderly patients.

This is the worst medical clinic even for Asian customer service standards that I have been to. My mother and I came in to be seen by the doctor for a bad coughs and we we’re recommended by a friend. We understood that the first walk in visit would be without insurance and paid in cash only but we still wanted to give them our insurance information for future records. The receptionists were very rude and obviously did not have much insurance knowledge. Their unprofessionalism can even be seen by how one looked like she just rolled out of bed with her pony tail coming loose on the side of her head. We told them that we called and checked with the insurance company and Holman Medical providers are listed as an in-network provider for Cigna. They looked at the card and claimed since it had a out of state address on the card that they couldn’t accept out of state insurances but could take Medicare which my mother and I aren’t even old enough to qualify for but since mandated nationwide then they can accept that funny enough. Another nurse tried explaining their unusual policy of being in network with Cigna but not accepting all Cigna just because it was out of state and not even based on whether it was a PPO or HMO. My mother called the insurance company again found that specific doctor there was listed as in network and that they can refuse you if they did not want to accept any new patients but not because out of state or in state. Even the insurance representative had to laugh at how silly this all was and asked who told us these policies. My mother asked the receptionist the name of the nurse who explained this but the receptionist refused to give us a name and just said call her nurse. We ended up asking for our copay payment back since we didn’t see the doctor and left. Poor customer service to cover up for unusual and almost suspicious activity.
