Store closing sales. Up to 90% off. Was low on inventory, and store was kind of a mess but got a good amount of stuff for low price.

I like this Office Max. They are very helpful and prompt. They are much quicker than Office Depot. I have never spent more than 10 mins in there trying to make copies. I think it's mainly because they are never busy, but also they have a good, quick, no-nonsense system. I once sent a package through FedEx at this Office Max. FexEx ended up destroying my package and were not very helpful, but the manager at Office Max was very helpful and spent a lot of time helping me work with FedEx to resolve my issue and helped me get my money back. I will always use this location if I need any copies made or any random office supplies.

So this could be a useless review since there is a sign that says going out of business, but when I got here, it was like they had given up on this store months ago. Everything is in disarray, the pricing on stuff is non-existent, probably adding to the disarray. The items were on sale were from the stone ages, I'm not even sure where some of these things have been this whole time. There were phone chargers for sale all for iphone 4's.... they had archaic thumb drives, laptops, and external hard drives. I'm sure there are floppy disks there too if you are looking for it. No wonder they are going out of business, it was a poor business practice in the first place. And for going out of business you think they would have stuff marked so people aren't brining things up to the front ot get a price check and therefore have a mountain of product accumulating behind the check out counter. Only one of the credit card reader works, so if you have a chip on your card there is a chance they will want you to enter the card number manually, skeptical if you ask me.....

I don't usually take the time to publicly criticize companies for their mistakes because hey, we all make them. However, in this case I am making an exception because frankly, I'm ticked off. I went to this Office Max to get a printout made for my boss's birthday coming up. First, I wanted a print out split into 18 pieces so I could just piece them together myself. After realizing this was likely just going to be a pain in the butt, I went ahead and bit the bullet to pay the extra money and just get it printed out like a giant poster and go from there. Go big or go home. I SPECIFICALLY went over with the lady behind the desk that this was to be life-size and that if she printed it out exact size as I had saved it, it would come out at 5'9" or so where I wanted it. I get a 'oh sure, I'll make sure of it'. So 10 minutes of printing or so passes. I'm watching the print from next to the counter and I comment on the head being a little small from where I am. She once again assures me it will come out right. She later rolls it up, instructs me not to unwrap for 1-2 hours to let the ink settle more and checks me out. Once again I ask if everything came out okay. She says yes, it looks great. So I get home, play around on the internet a while and finally get ready to start making my life-size cut out for the boss's birthday party. I unwrap the photo and find that my print out is roughly 4 foot tall. Office Max is closed and I don't have another day so I sucked it up and used what I had. Guess life-size is more like mini-me. I likely won't be trusting Office Max with any future printouts, especially not for near to $50. (This review is a 2 star based on the attitude of the person behind the front desk or it would have been a 1 star review. She was very kind and I can see this being a mistake, but I did repetitively ask if it was coming out okay and was assured that it was.)
