My husband called and talked to this rental company for about an hour making sure he could rent a car through them using his grandmother's credit card as long as she was present at time of pick up, he was assured that that wouldn't be a problem and he could go ahead and reserve a car through them. Tonight he gets off his plane and meets his family and heads to over to avis to get the car to be told he could not rent the car and it'snot their responsibility that he didnt pay attention to the rules, making it out to be his fault. Tell me how you can bold face lie to someone who did their due diligence to make sure it was possible to rent a car in this manner, tell them yes, and night of pick up deny them said rental. If your phone rep had told the truth and said it wasn't possible to reserve a car this way, then fine that's the rules and we would have looked elsewhere, but instead plans were made with the understanding that it could be done in this fashion and a reservation was made. It's not right and we are very displeased with the way this situation has unfolded.

I wanted to rent a car from Avis because my previous experience was great when I went to Arizona. But this location is horrendous. Very unprofessional and rude guy was at the desk. He was unable to answer any one of my questions. The Californian homeless behave better than him. I had to rent my car from enterprise bcz The guy who was working for Avis, quoted me something but gave me a bill which was $130 dollars more which he didnt explain.

Upon arrival...the clerk was absolutely rude as HELL...good luck with this place friends...the clerk Richard needs to go to school for customer service classes and the head of Avis needs to do some overhaul of employees....I will tell everyone who listens to NOT use this company here in Rapid City South Dakota Regional Airport..

Im Canadian and was visiting a friend in South Dakota. An unforeseen family emergency came up for my friend which required her to rent a car and drive to Ohio from rapid city. I didnt get the guys name. I think he was the manager he went above and beyond. In a world that seems to have gone crazy and empathy and compassion seem to be forgotten traits..he stepped up and truly saved the day for her. This one act of kindness has made me a loyal AVIS customer for life!!!!
