Updated after I went to the store: I was at the store buying a new phone on a plan. They gave me a free watch and confirmed that I wouldn't have to pay anything extra monthly. However, they charged me $210 for the tax including $70 for an installation fee, which was supposed to be $35. They said they would credit me $35 next month. I went home, I see why there are a new line number in my account, contact T-Mobile support chat, they confirmed that I dont have to pay for anything, the new line is just associate with my account in order to credit for free watch. Now, it's the next month, and the bill is over $36 extra and not received $35 credit like they said. I called and asked, and they said they would credit me back in 72 hours. However, after a week, they still haven't. When I called again, they said differently, claiming it's a monthly charge for the line associated with the watch. They told me to cancel and return the watch, and they would refund everything, including the sale tax and fee. I went to the store, and they said that due to the over-14-day policy, I can't return the watch. I disagreed because the customer support on the phone told me I could return the watch and get my money back without paying everything. Now, the people in the store are saying I cannot return it. After some discussion, they agreed that I can return the watch, but I have to pay a $40 restocking fee. I disagreed with this and wanted them to cancel the service for the watch because I did not add it to my account. They wanted me to cancel it myself, which I didn't agree with, as I did not approve the addition of the service line to my account without my awareness. The salesperson, who initially said the watch was free and didn't mention the $15 monthly fee for the service, told me to shut up and get out of the store after canceling the service line. While waiting for him on the phone to cancel, he complained that I was being unreasonable because I got the watch for free, only paying 50 cents a day ($15 a month), and that I was ruining his day. He advised me to go to Verizon or AT&T because I'm a terrible customer and even proposing the idea of returning the phone. While waiting for his on-the-phone call to cancel with mobile customer service, he complained that if I had called customer service, it would have been faster, and now we had to wait on the line. This is ridiculous because he was the one who added the line in my name, and now he's canceling and complaining? Why should I be the one who has to do it when he added the line to my name without my permission? After canceling the service, I left, and he said, "Hope to not see you again." Just imagine: When they promise everything's free, you get home, discover surprise charges. Call customer service, they assure you it's all good. Bill arrives unchanged, call again, get told they will change it, and it has not changed, calls again and gets a different story. In-store: told you can't return, then suddenly you can, but with a $40 fee. Called cheap for spending 'only' 50 cents a day. Employee claims a ruined his day I guess he would be happy if he gets scammed?
