If you can avoid XFINITY as a service provider, do so! I am a new customer that has had nothing but stress and trouble simply setting up cable and internet. I was advised by the person who sold me the package to get an ARRIS SURFBOARD and he told me about what it will cost me. Found it on Amazon and ordered it. When the set up guy came to my home he immediately told me it was the wrong one so he set up XFINITY's modem which cost $12.99 month. He said I could get the right modem and install and the monthly fee for their equipment would be taken off. FOR A WEEK, over several phone calls totaling at least 3 hours my new ARRIS SURFBOARD model still is not installed. Waiting now for another tech guy to show up tomorrow.Second - their streaming app is IN BETA. Meaning they are selling an incomplete and flawed product.XFINITY is a POS company and even their employees agree. One said, yes you can complain but honestly, they do not care.
