I've been a resident at Washington Lane Apartments for 12 years now and I just wanted to say that I have watched a transformation happen here! Ever since this building was taken over by Chelsea Management, there have been countless upgrades all around! The hallways are clean and beautifully redone and the whole outside of the building with the landscaping and flowers is just beautiful. I have never written a review on the internet before, but I've been wanting to share my experiences here for a while now. My husband and I are so happy here and hope to be here for many years.

I was interested in viewing the property. I reached out with several questions and the person responding was very rude. If the first person you come in contact with has terrible customer service then who would be interested in meeting in person. Turn off.

I’ve been living here for 3 years . Haven’t really had any major issues , when I did have some minor issues the maintenance people were always on top of everything. It’s usually quiet the apartment building that I live in is pretty clean no roaches or mice running around which is always a plus !!!

The apartments are probably filled with mold. There was a gap between the floor and the wall in my kitchen. Mold started to grow up my table legs and chairs. The landlord asked me "Have you taken any vacations or anything like that?" as if that would be the problem. I've spent weeks away from previous apartments and have never had mold growing on the table and chairs. There was mold growing on the walls in my bedroom too, which they painted over and called it fixed. No inspections or anything. Just paint. Would you be surprised if I said it grew back within the month? You shouldn't be. Either the bathtub or toilet flooded when I went away on vacation a different time. Came back to a bathroom floor and bedroom carpet that was soaked with disgusting water. I had to call multiple times to get it fixed. Oh, and... generally, for any issue, you're going to have to call their maintenance number multiple times. There was a man who was caught peeking into my window on 3 separate occasions -- I reviewed the videos WITH the landlord (I had a 1st floor apartment). Being that I am a woman, who lives alone, I asked them to transfer apartments, which the landlord claimed "because it's just a transfer, there wouldn't be any fees or deposits". From the videos that he showed me, the guy walked around the parking lot, peeking into people's cars before stumbling upon my window (makes sense that another reviewer said cars get broken into). I made flyers and gave them to the people in first floor apartments, and I got a tough-guy text message from the landlord stating that it's in the lease that we can't do that, but he never cited where. He actually stopped responding altogether. I called corporate and asked them if THEY would then put the word out, and they said they wouldn't. About the transfer of apartments, the landlord pushed me off for a whole month, and then at the end of May, when he claimed the apartment would be ready, he suddenly didn't know what I was talking about and then told me it would be a $500 deposit on top of the rent (DUE IMMEDIATELY), AND that the apartment wouldn't be ready until July. Basically either trying to push me out or trying to strong-arm the money out of me. Either way, I gave them my notice and I'm soooooooooo happy that I did. The ONLY redeeming factor about these apartments are that your neighbors are very likely to be super nice people.
