The owner Joe, lied to me after he sent a quote for the amount that was stated when he came to my home for a free estimate. The quoted amount was for $750 for all three services that I requested. Before the day of the job I called him to talk about the logistics of the equipment bc my yard is very difficult to get to. On that day, I told him I did not want him to remove the dogwood tree instead I wanted to keep it. On the quote that he sent the dogwood removal was for $300. He said ok, but he could still take it down for me or trim the branches if I was declining bc of the price. It wasnt about the price I just wanted to keep it bc I love the tree, the only thing that is wrong with it is a weird red fungus that is growing on it. He said ok. The other two services below I still wanted him to complete. We both agreed. 1. Two tree stumps removed $100 2. One cedar trim of branches $350 My next door neighbor was going half with me on the cedar tree branches bc they were growing on her side, so she agreed to pay half of $350 ($175 a piece) After he completed both jobs, the cedar and the two tree stumps. He then went over to my neighbors home to complete a job that she wanted him to complete. He asked her if she was paying her half of the cedar tree and she said yes and wrote him a check for the work he did for her and the half of the cedar tree. I had no idea this was going on as I was inside of my own home and had plan to give him the full amount of everything he did that day in total of $450. He cleaned up and told me they where done and I gave him an envelope with cash of $450. I text my neighbor and told her I gave him the full amount in cash and she then called me and said he didnt tell you that I already paid my half I said no and called Joe to explain that I over paid him bc my neighbor already gave him the half of the cedar tree and if he could return the other half back to me. He said no bc the work he did actually adds up to $650. How is that even possible when we both agreed on $750 minus the dogwood tree that would make the correct total $450. He proceeded to tell me he couldnt hear me bc he was driving and immediately cashed my neighbor check and kept my money. Joe owes me $175. The scam part of it all is that he had the nerve to send me another invoice for $650 two hours after our phone call bc he knew he needed to put that on paper. Very unprofessional and horrible business etiquette. I will never call him again for a job or refer him.

I just got my tree removed and also grind the stump, im very pleased they did such amazing job, great price ( i know coz ive been comparing), fast response! folks, dont waste your time and money, i highly recommend this team!

My wife and were in the initial stages of getting quotes for a tree (actually, a weed gone awry) to be removed from our yard and gave Topiary Tree a call. Joe arrived on time, took a look at the tree and let me know the work and cost associated with getting that eyesore out of our yard. He was extremely nice and knowledgeable and I felt like I was dealing with a pro. Once I had the money ready, we booked Topiary. They were out in less than a week and showed up with a 4 man crew. The owner, Joe, was part of the crew, and they got to work right away. By lunch time they had nothing but a few feet of tree left. They chopped that down after lunch, brought in the stump grinder, and ground that stump into oblivion. All of this was complete before 4pm. The price was extremely fair and Joe really is a quality person who loves what he does and is a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend Topiary for your tree needs.
