Blow & Go, Portland's Blow Dry Bar

I am really surprised by the latest reviews and wanted to share the experience I’ve had so far with the Blow & Go team. The first time I went there was totally random after I moved to Portland from Europe, I was afraid to try a salon that I wasn’t familiar with. I am glad that I gave it a try! Lisa, the owner, took care of my Afrocentric hair that time. The result was really great! I went there 3 more times already and Mason worked on my hair each times. The professionalism and care are noticeable every time. The result when getting out of the salon is amazing and the style lasts for a long time. Then before and after are always stunning for me. I absolutely recommend this place!

0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had booked an appointment for Saturday. A week before I called to see if I could get an appt earlier in the same day. They said they didn’t have anything available at the moment but would call me if something opened up, and I could cancel 24 hours before. I called on Thursday to cancel (more than 48 hours before) and the woman on the phone was insanely rude and said I had to cancel 2 days before, regardless of the appt time. I tried to argue, and she said she “didn’t have time to sit on the phone and deal with me.” More like Blow & NO

I scheduled 2 bridesmaids hair appointments , and they canceled a day and a half before the appointments. Myself and the other bridesmaid were without a hair appointment before the wedding. Because the appointment was on a Saturday we could not find other appointments in such short notice. NO ONE called us, we just got a text about it. I would not trust them to keep an appointment. I saw all the 5-star reviews and had grown-out my long hair during the pandemic. So I was excited to get it trimmed and blown-out, but halfway through my appointment, Lisa apologized for her lack of experience, and the result was dissatisfying. Lisa did not have good business sense, and I had her mistakes corrected at another salon. UPDATE ON 08/14/2021: The owner responded to my unhappy review, obviously confusing what was done to my hair with another person's mere consultation. Service: Hair styling
