image I don't normally write reviews but had to write one!! My stay here was top notch from the time I walked in the hotel I was greeted by Ashayia (so sorry for the spelling) who was very pleasant, I felt like I knew Karen (also at the front desk who I met afterwards) for years after we started talking, and Faith was very nice also. They all made my stay enjoyable. I highly suggest this be the place if your needing a place to stay. I can't forget about the breakfast, felt like a home cooked meal.

image The stars go to the staff. They were very nice but they don't run the place. WHERE'S THE HEAT? WHY DIDN'T MANGAGMENT GET SPACE HEATERS FOR ALL ROOMS THAT DON'T HAVE HEAT!! WE CAN'T SHOWER BECAUSE IT'S JUST TOO @%^:#ING COOLD! I WANT A REFUND!! I PAID FOR COMFORT, AND HEAT IS PART OF THAT. WHY ISN'T ANYONE SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS??? I would be better off sleeping in my car where there's HEAT! But my 82y/o mother was too tired and to cold to move. I WANT SOME MONEY BACK. THIS DON'T MAKE NO SENSE!!

image Upon check-in I was not greeted by a person in the lobby but by a person at their home from a computer screen. It was not personable. Additionally the lobby was vibrating from the bass being played by a DJ in the restaurant lounge. I was informed there was an event and since I had requested a first floor room, I was concerned about the noise. The event ended by 6pm thankfully and I did not hear the bass once I was in the room.
The hotel advertises as pet friendly. Yes you can bring your pets(up to 2 animals) but that is where it ends. There is no grassy pet relieving area outside the hotel. It is surrounded by woods and mulch on top of dirt. Many of us dog owners who were in town for the dog shows, complained that our pets did not like the mulch. My own dogs chose to relieve themselves on the concrete versus hurting their paws on the mulch.
A 2 queen bed room is small. No microwave in the room but there was a mini-fridge. For two people and a dog it was a little crowded. The bathrooms are tiny. The toilet is at the exact position where the door could hit your knees if someone opens it from the other side. Still, for being small, it was clean and I did not see any bugs as previous posters had commented.
The water pressure is good. That was the one shining moment of the hotel. They have great pressure and it was nice and hot.
The beds were too firm for my tastes, but that is a "me" thing because I love sleeping on pillow soft comfort. My husband enjoys sleeping on rock hard surfaces so he was okay with the mattress. I liked the pillows because they were soft. He did not. But those are our issues, not the hotels so I don't discount for that. Just take in to account your own preferences.
The breakfast area was busy and the staff had put the plates and utensils on a shelf below the food preparation area. It was located right under the toaster where you toast your own bread. So instead of waiting in front of the toaster, I had to wait to the side so that people trying to get plates and utensils to eat would not have to go around me.
Check out was quick and there was a person there.
Overall if you don't have dogs and don't need personal interaction - this hotel is good. But if you have dogs and like the friendly interaction of hotel desk staff - you may want to try elsewhere.
Prices were fair and pet fees reasonable.
Rooms: Small rooms, but servicable.
Nearby activities: Winston Salem Fairgrounds right across the way.
