My rating is not based on this Avis/Budget franchise operator, a very helpful and friendly couple. It is based on the fill-in counter agent at this small agency who is unkind, rude, incommunicative, unhelpful and just plain mean. (I was in tears when returning one car and picking up another last week.) I walked in with a friendly 'hello, how are you doing' when I got to the counter. All I got was a terse 'license and credit card'. I was taken aback, and asked why the unfriendly and nasty attitude. She grumbled under her breath, 'my attitude is based on yours.' (huh??? I had walked in with a friendly greeting. And since when is a customer treated in such a way, period? ) If you have the franchise owner, Veronica, when you check your car out or return it, all will we be well. But, since there's no way to know who will be on duty, I will choose another location to avoid this person who has no skill/training in how to treat a customer whose business you'd like to keep.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE!!! My friend got a rental from them (I was with her the entire time) and when she got the rental it was dirty. But because I had an appointment to get to, we couldnt stay and complain/do anything about it. Fast forward to when we return the car the agent on duty said that we were all good and that she got the okay from her cleaner (the person that cleans the cars) and we received a copy of the receipt. But then a couple of days later my friend called me saying they charged her card AGAIN (about $500 under a misc charge) and when she called AVIS they said there were signs of smoking and an empty bottle of alcohol left in the car. Firstly, no smoking could have happened in the car while it was in my friends possession because shes (severely) asthmatic. Secondly, I didnt know that leaving a piece of trash in the car was grounds for a $500 charge. They refused to send pictures of the claims they were making and when she asked to speak to someone higher up they told her the card has been charged so theres nothing you can do about it. So please do not fall victim to these people. They need to be stopped.
