Do not use etrade. They screwed up all my Lot sales. The excuse was a new roll out. Tech was useless. We even tried our local rep to no avail. We are now in the process of transferring to another company. We are also speaking to attorney to start a class action law suit for our losses. It is apparent based on etrade reviews from NYC to Los Angeles...worst customer service ever. Avoid etrade.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I have been trying to transfer money out of my account for over a month now. I have sent countless messages, emails and spent well over an hour on hold trying to get in touch with customer service. In fact, as I write this I have been waiting on hold for over 30 minutes. I have done this multiple times over the past month. There is no update on time or number of people in front of you. I keep getting the same error message that the "external account validation failed" when trying to transfer money from my E*Trade account back to my bank account. Amazingly, I had no trouble transferring the funds from the same bank account into my E*Trade account. There are only two options, either their system is completely broken or they are running a scam to keep funds in their account longer. Regardless, both their customer service and their service as a whole is horrible. If you look at my review history mostly all, if not all of my reviews are positive. I'm just that disappointed in this company.
