We feel very lucky to live close by to such a top tier animal hospital. Two of my dogs with severe heart issues were treated there. Thank you!

To say the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center is a resource truly does not cover how important this institution is, or how special the team behind the AMC's mission is. Our dog Hamlet has been seen now by several departments, including the incredibly helpful and knowledgeable specialized teams from Neurology and Internal Medicine, as well as through the Emergency and ICU teams who made him feel so safe that he was doing zoomies for them in the back :) Considering the breadth of issues of the animals arriving through the ER (as the only level 1 trauma center in NYC) and emotional nuances of the caretakers of the animals, the folks across all aspects of the process are truly such pillars of strength and support. With that in mind for emergency situations, this is a proper ER! Come early and be prepared to wait (people complaining about this...get it together!) - you're in line for some of the best, most dedicated doctors in the country, supported by some of the kindest individuals around - we're truly lucky to have this kind of access in NYC and the process is worth as much time as they need. As is the same with their ER teams, the level of detail and thoroughness with their dedicated appointments is truly unmatched. Skip getting a second opinion on something - just start here! Again, we're so thankful for the level of support from the AMC and want to do special shout-out to anyone who took care of our little guy (and our anxious selves along the way) - we really appreciate all that you all do! My dog has now seen 5 doctors at the AMC, and each was incredibly thoughtful, patient, sensitive, and caring. They took superb care of her, called me during and after each procedure, gave me their emails, and responded immediately to my questions and concerns. I wish my doctors were as amazing as these.
