        The Toms River, NJ Budget is a disgrace. The office wreaks of cigarette smoke and the representatives are rude and unprofessional. When we picked the car up, it was dirty and disgusting. It had dried vomit on the car and food, crumbs, dirt, and sand all over the car. We had to clean the vomit and food so we could sit down. The car smelled like vomit and cigarettes. It had scratches all over the car, the headlight was broken, the service light was on, and the windows were dirty. Unacceptable

        After having a terrible experience at Avis/Budget in Point Pleasant, where they canceled our reservation without any advance notification, we gave the Toms River Budget agency a call. The woman was extremely helpful and had a car ready for us on short notice. She was empathetic with the situation that the Point Pleasant agency had put us through and even offered us a free upgrade. We were in and out very quickly and the woman there could not have been nicer. She even provided a phone charger to use for our trip free of cost. I highly recommend you rent your next car through Budget on Rt 37 in Toms River.
