Super helpful and accommodating was this location. I was very satisfied with the efforts by Ted and his team regarding my rental. Ill be back and glad I came across great customer service.

I had to suddenly rent a car while getting my car fixed. It was my first time working with Hertz Freehold and Ted, and he was the so very helpful and understanding. He got me in a car that fit my budget that very same day (a cute little black Chevy Spark!) and really went out of his way to accommodate my unpredictable schedule. He's had a lot of experience working with cars, and he truly cares about his customers. I highly recommend giving him a call whenever you're looking for a rental near Freehold!

Small place , tough to find if you dont get out of your car asking around. No signage anywhere. The gentleman is extremely wonderful.and accommodating.

There's a reason Hertz goes bankrupt and it all comes down to the shady business model. I was a gold member of there rental program and rented a car for 2 days prepaying it. Toward the end of the second day I realized I would need the car one more day so I called and asked if I could extend the rental. I was told I could but the rental fee for the third day would be more which made perfect sense because I wasn't prepaying it. When I return the car the total seemed excessively high. The attendant at the counter who was very polite realized they had charged me a fee for returning the car late, which I hadn't done, and took the charge off. At that point my Uber had arrived so I left to return home. The following day the location had closed down for a few days due to covid so I had to call their customer service to resolve the overcharges. What they had done was charged me the higher rate for all three days and used the amount I had paid for the first two days as a "prepayment" When I spoke to customer service they told me that that's what they always do and we're not willing to change it. In fact they told me if I disputed the credit card charge they would file a claim against me to ruin my credit. Anyway I haven't used them since and won't be using them again. What they did is most probably against the law no matter how their contract reads but who has the time to fight, it's easier just not to do business with them.
