First of all I couldn't get anybody on the phone for at least 2 hours finally got transferred to the Guess The National customer service anyway I went ahead and booked a local truck for 4 hours and was quoted a price with 20 miles of $36 they told me since I was using my debit card there would be a $150 hold and that I did not have to take either of the insurance options. I took an Uber to the location that had a U-Haul sign and a storage sign?? I was a little confused so as I went in I showed him my confirmation number give him my name my ID and the guy started typing and he said we'll put $175 hold on your card and your charges will be $120 wait a minute why well this is a franchise this is not a local Budget Truck Rental in our store in order for you to rent a local truck you have to put down a $175 deposit and you have to at least take the lowest insurance which is $50 and we have to quote you at least 50 miles however when you come back that $120 will come out of the $175 deposit I said well since you're charging me so much can I just keep it until the end of the day since I'm getting it 2:30 and you close at 5:00 he said no we have to charge you a whole extra day. They were very rude they were short as if I was bothering them and was only 2:30 so I know they weren't getting ready to close but as he had my card in his hand I said no I'll just go down to U-Haul. Which is what I did and a half an hour later I was in a truck and I only put down the cost of the rental no insurance no deposit and I came out paying $32 thank you you all I would not suggest going to this budget location at all.

Overall the rental process was quick simple and easy. On the other hand the break down issue is another. Was told truck is brand new 14,000 miles on it, well lord and behold a couple of hours later there was fluid leaking. Called roadside assistance and filed my report was told a tech will be out in 60 -90 minutes. Well almost 2 hrs go bye no tech, call back was told the tech is 15 minutes out. So waited about 30 minutes still no tech. Well.finally after another round of pho e call a tech arrives, at this time is 830 pm mind you my initial call was at 350. Tech looks at the vehicle and say it needs to be towed to the dealer for repairs he is unable to fix it. So of course another round of phone calls and I was told I would be contacted by 830am. Oh did i mention i nees to be back in California to start a new job? Guess who has no job now me.....well no one reached out to me so once again I had to do a round of calls again and was basically given the run around. Til finally someone took pitty on me and actually decided to do there job at roadside assistance. It would be around 3 pm when a replacement truck arrived so of course the swap out crew was wonderful but mind you the storage facility closes at 6pm so of course because of the previous nights events of me being on property after hours my lease was terminated by management. So I basically lost half my stuff and life now. So of course after trying to take my most valuable and memorable keepsakes I was tired and needed needed rest got that headed to California from Vegas get to my destination get a phone call saying they wanted to know what time I was bring the truck in and me shocked like I had a break down and had to wait 24 hrs for a replacement. The rep tells me it's do back today by 11am I was kind of shocked it was roughly 1030 when I got the call. So my response is I will have there as soon as possible I thought I had another day because of the break down? We obviously I was wrong upon returning the truck at around 1230 I was charged 213.00 for a whole another day, like wow !!!! Call customer service as I was told by all the other reps and they will issue me credits and this and that. Well all that was offered was 30% of the base rate of the truck so basically which is still a joke. How about the fact that I wasn't able to start my new job lost half my personals. Never rent from budget being completely honest. I will stick to uhaul at least they care about their customers. Let's see if corporate reaches out after seeing this review.
