Yesterday 03/31/2024 my older sister went to rent a truck she had reserved online. As I suggested she went online a week prior to needing the truck and made the reservation. This was done without any issues. Upon arrival at the store, she was met be a very rude and discourteous woman. She accused my sister of not being honest and unable to drive the truck. During the interaction at the store. My sister called me and was extremely upset. Unfortunately, at that time I was working in my yard and only got the voicemail. The store called me as well. When I called the store, I was trying to find out what I needed to do to help my sister. This woman refused to identify herself on the phone and told me she could deny anyone she wanted. She accused my sister of being dishonest. This of course got me upset. My sister is 60 years old and has just sold her house. She is getting ready to retire and live her dream of kicking her feet up. This clerk demanded my sister prove who she is by calling three people to identify her. I was one of the three she called. I believe the reason for how my sister was treated was racially driven. I have rented from U Haul before and never had to prove who I am. I am hoping that I am wrong. Yet, I cannot find any other reason as to how my sister was treated. Bad service.
We arrived 15 minutes before closing to deliver the truck and they no longer wanted to serve us.

Small parking area for customers, clean. There are lots of trucks for rental.
Ended up not renting. Charges .$.90 per mile, store associate took my head shot picture of me without letting me know why he took it, until I asked what it was for. It was going to end up being $100.00 for a 10 mile use.
The customer service was a bit robotic until IAN made fun of my partner's name. That's where he lost my business.
