    According to BBB, this company also goes by the name Southwest Pool & Spa Repair. Absolute worst. Use them only if you want to get billed, not have work done, then hung up on repeatedly. Company was recommended via my home warranty company, and I will be filing a similar complaint with them. Their tech came out to my residence, diagnosed the problem, smiled and said he didn't have the necessary part and that he would be back, collected my $65 warranty fee, and then I never heard from him again. Three weeks later I call the company direct to find out what happened, and the "supervisor" hangs up on me. I call back three more times and they SCREEN ME and send me to the answering machine. One time they forgot, picked up the phone, then immediately hung up. Classless. Unprofessional. Useless. Ripoff. Never use.

    I would run fast the other way if this pool company is assigned to your home warranty repair. They were first out to fix a pool pump and heater problem at my home in mid-August. The repair man indicated that he had to check with the warranty company for authorization to complete the heater repair and that we would hear back in a couple of days. No return call. I honestly even forgot this wasn't repaired (who thinks about the heater in the summer!) when the pump broke again in early September. We filed a recall claim and reminded the company that the heater was still not fixed. They indicated that they would not be able to give us a time frame but would call the morning of our scheduled day to give us a time window. Again no call. We called again twice to be told finally that they had visited our home with no one there. I think trespassing is actually illegal! They advised that they had to order a part and it would be in that week. A week later we called back again as we had received no call. We were told that the repair man visited our house that evening and replaced the pump with a refurbished pump. When I turned it on, there was water leaking from the equipment (both heater and pump). In addition, the pump was extremely loud and grinding whereas our prior pump had been relatively quiet. We were told AGAIN they would call to let us know what time they would be here. No call again! Long story short, they fixed the leak but not the sound issue. And because the story doesn't end there, the pump broke again last weekend and flooded our neighbors yard. They called me on Monday to schedule an appointment for Wednesday, no call, no show, and no repair to the equipment. Now we are stuck waiting for the warranty company to evaluate our request to assign a new pool repair company. EVERY SINGLE time they said they would call us to give us a time they did not. EVERY SINGLE time they entered our yard with no one home. EVERY SINGLE repair they have done has broken or caused new problems. The service is terrible all around and I find the way they do business to be very shady. They don't leave work orders, they don't keep appointments and it seems they prefer to wait to fix issues until no one is home. A reputable company simply would not do business this way. Please RUN for your lives should you encounter this company!

    I had to use them through AHS Home Owners Warranty service call - I had a problem with the Spa water draining back into the pool - it took them five service calls in order for them to fix the problem, all having to do with trying to find the cause to not having the part and having to order it. It took a month to get it done. The owner Bill is the worst communicator, he never had the courtesy to call me and let me know what was going on in between service calls, I was the one that had to call them. I also had to call AHS to get them to get on the ball, because I grew frustrated with them. Eventually the problem was fixed, but will never use them again. The two service technicians that came over were courteous and helpful, but the owner was another story. No more Golden West pool service for me!!!
