Jack's Place

This is our 2nd time staying at Jack’s place Airbnb and we absolutely love it! I would recommend Jack’s place to anyone in the Perryville area or just passing thru. They made sure to accommodate our requests & I must mention they even surprised us with a large fully decorated Christmas tree! Not to mention it is a beautiful new building with an attached garage! It is obvious that the owners of this Airbnb take pride in their property & care about their guests. PS- We are of no relation to the owners & have never met them before. This place is simply IMPRESSIVE!

I had to edit my review because my opion quickly changed. The landlord is not trusting at all. You can not take her word alone places look nice at a glance but there are a lot of things wrong that you will notice. Paint drops on the wooden floor, crappy doors, and often would take many days and calls/texts to get someone one over to help.

Let me preface all of this by saying that the only 5 star review here is from a family member, and we all know they will lie to help boost ratings. Now, be very cautious when dealing with the landlords. Get everything in writing! I can not stress this enough. The honor bestowed on a verbal agreement and handshake mean nothing to them. It will end up costing you big. That was a lesson my wife and I had to learn the hard way. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for lodging. The landlords looked my wife and I in the eye and told us everything was good. They then shook our hands and bid us best of luck with our move. Believing all too be good we left the apartment breaking the lease early. 5 days before the end of the next month, the landlord came back with a text, not even a courtesy phone call, but a text. The message read as follows (this is a direct copy from my phones messages), “We have been unsuccessful in finding a new tenant so we will need to collect rent by September 1st. Non payment will result in collections reporting. It is now August 25. Thank you for understanding.”Right, so it’s our fault that she didn’t find a tenant. This is the same landlord that looked us directly in the eye and shook our hands and said all was good. We reminded her of this agreement and she responded with this message, “We had hoped to have it occupied by then. There’s no guarantee.”There was never a conversation addressing the issue of the landlords being unsuccessful in filling THEIR vacancy. So be very cautious with these landlords if you are considering moving here. But I strongly say that you seek lodging elsewhere. How could you ever live in a place with such devious, deceitful, unscrupulous landlords who have no honor. Oh and the bill there were charging was not meager, it was $875. Think of the toll that put on me and my new wife. STAY AWAY FROM JACKS PLACE!
