Cancelled our reservation with no explanation. There wasnt even an email or call to let us know it had been cancelled. I have never had this happen with any other hotel. I would avoid this property at all costs. If you cant rely on a reservation what is the point of taking them? (update - even more concerning is to then pretend the reservation didnt exist for the sake of appearances and to claim it was for another Days Inn! How many Days Inn by Wyndham are in Perryville MO?) (and I just checked again and clearly have a cancelled reservation for this location) Avoid at all costs!

Smoking rooms smell of pot went to other side get room after gave me a key to a room we opened and a guy was in there living went to none smoking room and 200 dollar cash deposit. Tripped walking in room as carpet is loose and needs stretched tight

Where to begin. First let me say I paid $458 for a one night stay for the eclipse. I may not see another one so I splurged. I checked in at 11 and took my things to my room. It looked ok so I left and did not return until 8pm. It was hot in the room so I tried to turn the a/c on. Nothing. The heat came on great and the fan but no a/c. The lady at the front desk came up immediately but couldn't get it to work. The compressor kicked on then right back off. I was not happy. First they offered me a fan. For $458 I was offered a fan. The hotel was booked for the eclipse. I was told they could give me a 10% ($45). I didn't want a discount I wanted my room to be functional. Any other time on a Sunday it would be $59. I checked on their make a reservation page. I should have given the reviews a closer look. When I didn't want fans for my $458 room I was told I could leave and they would give me a $200 refund. There were absolutely no rooms anywhere due to the eclipse so I would have been paying $258 to sleep in my car. I still protested and the manager said I could leave. Suddenly the discount and the offer for the $200 refund wasn't available. They offered to call the police. They also asked me to leave if I continued to "debate" and that they had to wait on guests. I said I would take the fans. I suddenly I was told since I had booked with Expedia that it wasn't their problem and to call Expedia. I did not book with Expedia I booked with Hotwire with insurance. I called Hotwire and they called the front desk and were told the a/c worked fine which is absolutely not true and they refused a refund or discount due to the working a/c due to the false statement the manager made to the Hotwire representative. Nice. Customer service at the motel was shameful. Not once did I receive an apology for my inconvenience. Since this is a 2 star hotel I was prepared and brought Lysol wipes and spray. The wipe was brown after I wiped off the phone so everything got a good wipe. There was a small coffee maker without a coffee pot. On the first floor going down the hallway there was a 4'x4' spot that had been repaired but not painted. The mattress appeared new which was nice. Pot smokers down the hall. Shower curtain had a black streak on it probably just truck driver dirt, it happens. Curly hairs in the tub not going to use. A random wire sticking out from under the cooling unit looked very suspicious with the red wire exposed. While I was at the front desk a guest was checked in and given his key card. He came back minutes later and said there were already occupants in the room. He was given another room. The room did look nice for a 2 star. It was like one of the examples on the website. Linens were clean. Over all an exceptionally bad choice. Would I stay again? Absolutely not. Is it worth $59? No. I got a $458 event stay at a 2 star quality motel. I would say you get what you pay for but not in this case. Steer clear no matter what the price. Check the reviews and if there are multiple bad reviews and responses such as the ones made here...AVOID even if you have to sleep in your car. ALWAYS check your room immediately but even if I had they were booked. Thank you Patel family.
