image Walked around for 20 minutes trying to find the entrance. Is this place closed? There's no signage, and the phone number goes nowhere, but the website is still up.

image I feel it was overpriced and overrated.

image The hostess was an absolute gem. It was super-busy, but she remained calm, gracious and helpful the entire time we were there. (Our table was near the reception desk, so I could see her while we dined.) I had worn snow boots because of the weather, and she kindly let me stash them under the table in the waiting area so I could change into my dress shoes. She was welcoming to us and all who arrived, no matter how many folks showed up.

image I would say this place has great potential based on location and atmosphere. Their patio looks like it would be quite enjoyable during the warmer months. That said, the service and food at dinner was subpar and I'm not sure the management is truly on top of running the place. First, our waiter was new, I think almost brand new and they had him swamped with multiple table all at once. We arrived on time for our reservation and started with drink which came fairly timely. Our friends arrived and ordered a bottle of wine and I had to get up twice in order to finally have them deliver it. It took 15-20 minutes for the wine to arrive and then even longer for us to order anything beyond that. We ordered a charcuterie platter which was good and the wedge salad was good. The owner or manager came by and comped the appetizer due to the wine delays which was a good gesture. I would have thought he would have been circulating and stopped back by to check in, but we never saw him again. As for entrees, 2 of us ordered a ribeye. One was ordered extra rare and the other medium rare, they were medium well at best. If you are going to sell steaks, you should be able to cook them based on your customer's preference, otherwise don't have them on the menu. Another person ordered a burger medium and there was zero pink in his burger. The fourth person in our group ordered the seafood mixed grill and said it was just so so. We should have sent the 3 entrees back but everything had been taking so long, who knows how long we would have been there?! Ironically, there was another couple that was re-seated next to us due to having service issues prior to moving to that table. They had a different waiter. This was our first time to visit the Jacobson and we had hoped it would be a good one but I wouldn't advocate this place for dinner. I've been advised by others that they too have not had great dining experiences here, but they do speak well of the brunch. I hope they take the time to read their reviews and correct things. In reading other reviews, it seems several other customer's experiences have been similar. I saw those prior to dining but thought we would take a chance because we wanted to try a local spot we hadn't visited before.
