This is a TERRIBLE office. Many of the women who work in the office are kind, however Dr. Wedul is NOT. Earlier this year, I went in for what I thought was going to be a routine eye exam. Instead, I had to sit in Dr. Wedul's office for over an hour and listen to him berate me about my weight. He proceeded to badger me into telling him how much I weighed, gave me diet and exercise "advice", suggested supplements I might take (?) and told me I needed to lose weight immediately. I tried to explain that I was uncomfortable and that I have a doctor who specializes in these issues and that I was here for an eye exam only, and he continued to talk over me, talk condescendingly and he made me feel very, very uncomfortable. This was a few months ago, however I absolutely plan to file a complaint with the state. This should never happen to anyone. Dr. Wedul, you're an eye doctor. No one cares what you have to say about anything else. Stay in your lane.

Went it to get a problem I've been having with eyes for the past few days. Called to make an appointment, got in the same day. The staff members were really nice and professional. It was good until I saw the eye doctor, Wedul. He was not very professional and did not seem to care what I had to say about my eyes or anything else. I went in for dry and burning eyes-he sad it was Pink Eye. I've had pink eye before, it's not the same symptoms. He put words into my mouth and said I had symptoms occurring that I actually didn't. He was helpfully in telling me some tips and explaining a few things that weren't related to my current condition, but then asked what I was doing in the cities. I told him I was here for school and he started bashing my degree choice and saying that I wouldn't find a good job with my chosen path unless I did a minor in something else and worked for the government only.... like what!? He went on how the path I was choosing was wrong and that non-profit or state agencies weren't good. Then said that in order to work for one agencies I mentioned that I'd have to be able to fight fires, which was clearly a discriminatory hit towards my small stature. I wasn't there to get criticized about my degree choice or path of life, I was there to get my eyes to stop burning and being dry. He also told me that I should only use antibacterial soap from a pump because other soaps don't work, when I have to wash my hands at work from being a waiter or barista. I am neither! He just assumed I had a food service job (which nothing wrong with that type of job, but the assuming part is what is annoying). Also, bar soap isn't completely useless as he may feel. He be a doctor, but he lacks interpersonal communication skills. I would not recommend this place, solely on the doctor himself, everything else about the place was good.

When I called to schedule an appointment, the woman who answered the phone was very nice - I was happily surprised they could fit me in later that day. Upon arriving, I waited for at least an hour before Dr. Wedul saw me - since it was a last minute appointment, I could excuse that... however, my experience with Dr. Wedul was unpleasant - he was condescending, didn't communicate with me at all about what he was doing during the appointment, and grew visibly frustrated (close the point of yelling) when I couldn't convince my eye to stay open for a test. I said, "I'm sorry, I'm trying to keep my eye open," and he was incredibly condescending and dismissive. Eventually he switched instruments, and the problem was solved immediately (it seemed that something was previously mis-calibrated?) Whatever the case, he handled the situation completely unprofessionally, and I've never felt so disrespected or uncomfortable in a doctor's office in my entire life. Yes, he gave me a correct, routine diagnosis, but the entire experience was completely unpleasant. I will not be returning to Lexington Eye Associates.
