I experienced the worst rental and roadside assistance ordeal with AVIS. It all started when my vehicle began venting smoke as I arrived at my hotel. Thankfully, it happened at a convenient location.. Then I received an Uber voucher to arrange transportation for the replacement, I had to travel 20 miles back to the airport from my location to get it. Upon arriving at the airport booth, the attendant refused to accept the text message I was supposed to show her and insisted on a case number, directing me to call AVIS. Despite attempting to contact AVIS, I navigated through a series of automated options without reaching a live representative. Accidentally selecting certain options led to the cancellation of the entire replacement process, only allowing me to speak to a live representative afterward. I then had to explain the breakdown of my car, including smoke, and its location. I had left the keys on the passenger side under the doormat, which the representative now stated required a key lockout service, contradicting what the previous representative had suggested. After a lengthy conversation of 30 to 40 minutes, they finally understood the situation. However, the airport booth attendant remained unaware, prompting me to hand over the phone to allow her to speak with the AVIS representative. It seemed that even the AVIS representative initially didn't understand why the case number was necessary, until they finally sorted it out. It took approximately two hours of dealing with these unnecessary complications and uninformed representatives to finally obtain my replacement vehicle. Overall, this experience caused me to lose about half a day of my plans, making it the most frustrating and unpleasant car rental experience I've ever had.

Easy in & out with a great selection of clean cars in great condition. I always get nice cars here and this time, I got one with a mere 170 miles on it.
