I am surprised that Kmart and Sears lasted as long as they did. Overpriced, cheap materials, rude employees. The bad reviews that the east side Kmart has gotten, does not surprise me as they are true. I never was a big fan or shopper of these stores as they never appealed to me. These stores were the bottom of the bottom of retail stores, I am just surprised that many people spent their hard earned money at these stores. These stores ripped people off and I somewhat believe it might have been it intentional. I just do not believe how they could sell the same items as other stores for so much more and think that with sale prices that you would be saving anything. The sale prices were nothing lower maybe by a few cents off the regular prices. I never understood their marketing strategy. You basically saved nothing. When you walked into these stores, you saw what you would be getting. I am glad that these stores are closing. Hopefully, that in their places come something better as the people deserve that.

This is a typical Kmart...kinda run down, not the classiest joint; but it has a fairly good selection of items. There are a couple of great employees, and some clueless lazy ones; but Ive found the management team to be exceptionally helpful and friendly. This is important, given that the rewards program run by Shop Your Way is riddled with glitches and is generally a hot mess. But the fact that management here is willing to help make things right makes it worth it. Just wish it was in a better part of town.
