Care was lacking. No water given to aged mother for drinking in room until I asked.Often left alone in dining room. Food unsatisfactory. Hot dog for sunday supper. No help to get close captioned working on t v. Physical therapy was great. Loved one there 5 days with no shower. I was told they get 2 per week.

I hate to give them one star! Over the weekend my cousins were here to visit their mom from TN and was treated so disrespectfully by the cna caring for my aunt not to mention how rough she was with her and that she didn’t get toileted the entire time they were there! She is on the Alz. Unit and during the meal plates were put in front of residents that require assist to eat not one person came to help them and when they started cleaning up they just removed their full plate and discarded it. So they are not being fed!!! I worked for Whispering Pines for 10 years and it use to be a caring place, good staff. What hurts is that I recommended this place for my aunt because I worked there and I could keep an eye on her. Well I had to leave because I have never in my 17 years working in this field have I been treated with such disrespect. They show all these beautiful picture of the facility and rooms. Well not true. They have one wing down stairs that has been redone the rest of the place is falling apart. As a family member and a healthcare worker. Shame on you aperion care!!

Positive Vibes
This review is in regards to the comment below about the dog. There is nothing wrong with bringing your dog to the workplace, especially service/therapy dogs, since by state law, they are allowed to be with their owners. Depression in the elderly population is extremely high and it is proven by science that animals (dogs/cats) help reduce depression and provides a sense of companionship among the elderly. So props to this nurse for bringing joy to her residents by bringing her comfort dog. And props to the rest of the staff: nurses, CNA’s, Activities, dietary, and housekeeping for providing care and compassion to the residents.
