I highly recommend a stay in the Ambassador Chicago!
The Ambassador was my 3rd Stay in Chicago and it was worth it.
The elegant hallway, the nice and friendly staff at the front desk and in front of the hotel, really make you feel like you want to when you go to chicago.
The rooms are quiet and in comparison to more expensive hotels, huge.
I was happy to get into a room with that much space after I stayed in the small rooms of the Emc2.
Unfortunately I didn't get to eat in the restaurant but when I got back after a day of work, I looked up into the elegant decorated restaurant I was surprised how good the atmosphere and the food looked.
The Hotel is a bit from the magnificent mile, but on a sunny day the rooms get partially flooded with sun and entrance is light up like the outside Chicago is welcoming you to go out and explore the town.
By feet you run through a part of the town, that offers you all the authentic food and restaurants you want see and the more "expensive" stores in town.
By taxi you are within 10 bucks at every important spot in the west loop.
You get everything you need for the price you pay.

Just lovely experience. Had an extremely long day. The staff was overly accommodating as well, it couldn't have gone better. Make sure you have at least a 100$ on a credit card before you check in(fairly normal for incidentals and deposit on the room)
