        Beware James Kamin's services! He is terribly unresponsive and has on more than one occasion left me hanging until the last moment, even with repeated and persistent telephone calls. Even worse, his work is not thorough. After a particularly bad year dealing with him, I found a new accountant who looked back through my books to discover that Kamin had not only cut many corners but misfiled in baffling ways. Bottom line is that his poor work cost me 20K, which was eventually reimbursed by the IRS once my new accountant made the necessary corrections. Kamin was my family's accountant and I had stayed with him for nearly two decades out of filial piety, but I wish I had broken tradition much sooner. Looking back, I see how costly and foolish my complacency was! Ask around and you'll hear many of the same stories.
