Really happy with our experience with William and Roger. In their new location 74 Autos are mainly selling cheap used cars to get students around town. No frills, no bluff, but good customer service as long as you have realistic expectations for your money. William's laid-back California attitude is a refreshing contrast to some Midwestians' tendency towards uprightness. We test drove two cars with no problems. When we chose to buy one, they talked me through the paperwork clearly (I'm a first time buyer). They agreed to fix windshield wipers, and even to offer a free checkup before a long journey I had planned. Excellent service.

We bought a Mazda 3 almost 3 months ago, its been in the shop 4 times and now wont accelerate out of first gear! we needed a good car just to get back and fourth to work to put food on our table but out 3,000 bucks and looking like so much more!

Test drove a Taurus that was being offered for about $2,000 less than blue book. Was hard selling it over minor things so we drove it away to inspect. Back seat belts were filthy, making me think they'd been sitting in something. Back carpet was crunchy like it had been soaked in dirty water. Opened the trunk and the space between the gasket and side panel was full of mud. The jack was sitting in the trunk rusted. Looked into the spare compartment and it was 3/4 submerged in water. We checked the cabin again and found sand under the console. So obviously the back half of this car spent time under water. Re-checking the blue book, he was actually about $200 over value. Thought it was important to see if he'd come clean. Disappointed that he got agitated and tried to hard sell it as just a leak. When I pointed out more details, he told us to check the site for more cars and ended the conversation. If he was at least honest with us, I'd still deal with them. But knowing they're hiding facts, there's no way. Also, he advertises deals on Craigslist that he doesn't honor when you get there. Sold the car we were interested in before we got there and told us he got them to pay $800 more for it then what was listed anyway. These folks are shady. I'd stay clear. Update: Owner called my cell phone to leave a nasty message on my voice mail over this review as opposed to answering the claim here in public like the system was designed. So that's who we're dealing with. Since he's interested, I do digital media for a living, including reputation management. So I take reviews very seriously.

Boyfriends daughter bought a car in Feb of this year. It quit by April and when it rained it washed off whatever they had covering up the rust! Poor customer service. Do not do business with this company. She is currently in talks with the BBB. Then she will be contacting a lawyer. Who wants to pay more than $4,000 for a piece of crap that doesn't even run?

My experience what about one of the salesmen bashing other dealers. Talking about how he can afford to sell cars so cheap. The reason why is they have issues. He told me his technician looks at all the cars before they go on the lot. The car I just purchased less than a week ago needs all new brakes. These guys are shady! By the way, they want cash only! (I wonder why!) PLEASE TRUST ALL THE REVIEWS AS I SHOULD HAVE!
