image This 0500 telephone number does not connect you to McMillan Clinic..This establishment may very well be out of business. August 2020

image Terrible service. Not able to get through to my Nurse Practitioner Kathy Alkire Coate. The billing staff would not let me talk to her and I doubt they gave her my messages. I wanted a recommendation for a new doctor as the billing department drove me away. I was late on my $50 co pay - turned over to collections - then I paid and wanted to make an appt but they said I would have to pay $100 each time I come in for the next 3 visits. I have type 1 diabetes and am having back allergic reactions to food and am in need of a doctor. I will miss Kathy but the gestapo tactics of this McMillan Medical Center is the worst I have seen. Shame on these people who don't give a damn!!!

image What a great service to have embedded in the neighborhood, but the execution failed.. The checkins are clumbersome, the check-in nurse was lacking basic communication skills...like "hello, welcome, come on back".
When I walk through the door I count how many times I have to repeat myself, written or otherwise...4 is too many for my mental health.
Then, I see a nurse practitioner, not a MD, who accuses my previous doctor (actual MD) of mal-practice (Pretty stiff claim for someone who doesn't know females produce testosterone via ovaries). Then after saying she was going to put me on a prescription, she failed to call it in for 5 days.

image After coming down with symptoms of bronchitis, I headed off to my usual urgent care only to be told to go home and wait 10 days and see if I get better. That was on a Tuesday. On Friday, I went back to same UC as my symptoms have worsened and asked for a script of antibiotics. I was again told to go home and wait 10 days. I asked what the harm would be in prescribing the anitb's (haven't had any in 5 years) and was told they weren't necessary. On Friday afternoon (that same day) I stopped at McMillan MC and was greeted very nicely by the front desk. Wait time was 10 minutes. Once in the room, I was asked about my symptoms in a very thorough manner by the nurse. Sana came in and was genuinely concerned regarding my condition. Sana then asked more questions and her exam was very extensive. Sana agreed antibiotics were the best course of action and prescribed not only the antib's but also a cough medicine. By Monday I was feeling great. The next Friday I came down with pink eye (wife got it from someone at work). Off to MMC and Dr. Little came to the rescue. Very professional and straight to the point. He prescribed the meds and off I went. 2 weeks later, yes another Friday, I still had symptoms of pink eye along with terrible sinus congestion and ear pain. So back I went to MMC. Sana was on duty that day. She did another thorough exam and also numbed one of my eyes to get a closer look. She determined my pain was due to sinus pressure and prescribed accordingly for both my eye and sinus pressure. Feeling much better now thanks to Sana. We need more people like Sana in the medical field. She is kind, compassionate, caring, and goes the extra mile to help her patients. Because of the service I received from Sana and the crew, I will be switching to MMC for all of my medical care as I have maintenance medications I need to take. MMC is a little known jewel IMHO.

image The receptionist is morally bankrupt and had zero willingness to do the most basic and essential duty of her job - getting patients in to see a doctor.
We took our son in this morning with a large cut over his eye. In order for him to be seen the receptionist would need to make a 45 second phone call to his primary physician to get his information and a referral. She refused. My wife then made a phone call to explain the situation to our physician who immediately requested to speak with the receptionist in order to give her the necessary information for treatment. She refused again, stating the she was 'the only one working' (this was not true). There was 1 other person in the waiting room and nothing else going on.
We went to the nearest urgent care center. They called our physicians office, had a 45 second conversation and we were being seen within 3 minutes.
Update *****
Several hours later I received an apologetic phone call, followed quickly by several requests to remove this review.
This receptionist is still employed here 1 year later. No morals!
