The Darwin Hotel

We stayed one night and it was PERFECT! We were greeted so politely when we walked through the doors. The room had everything we needed and it was super clean. The decor is very nice! We were comfortable and didnt want to leave honestly. Parking was convenient. The location was amazing! Were definitely going back!

I am so happy my friends and I found this hotel through Expedia. First of all the hotel is very ascetically pleasing. The rooms are very clean. The customer service is high quality. The front desk was so helpful and knowledgeable. The bartenders were also great as they perfected every drink we ordered. The patio is also beautiful and convenient. My only complaint will be the food served by the chef. I guess my expectations were too high but the food was in very small portions and was not worth the price. However, there is definitely more positives than negatives from this hotel. Rooms: They were a bit small. Food & drinks: Drinks were awesome. Food was mediocre.

My experienceat The Darwin Hotel was outstanding. The aesthetic of the hotel is really beautiful. Not to mention, the service received particularly by Dante (front desk) and Amanda (the bartender) was the best! Dante was super accommodating, very knowledgeable and an absolute gentleman. Amanda was the sweetest, talented and crafted some great cocktails for me. The Darwin Hotel is definitely a location that I look forward to returning to in the near future.

The Darwin is a stylish hotel with an unbelievable price and great staff. The lobby is beautiful and a cozy place to spend some time. Each guest gets a pass for one free cup of coffee, fancy tea, champagne, beer, or wine. And it's only a few minute walk to Ponce City Market. The "cozy" room sizes are indeed small, but there's still room for 2 people for 2 nights. The bed is soft and has a good set of linens and pillows. Although the 55" TV is generously sized, its awkward position to the side isn't great for watching. The shower and toilet room has good space, but there's a gap around the door that lets all the sound through. The sink is nicely sized with soft towels. The window lets in lots of light and has two kinds of roller shades, but you can't open it for any fresh air. Finally, you can hear muffled sound from adjacent rooms if there are loud arguments or music. All these nitpicks are small when you consider the bargain price of $130 that I paid, tax included. Parking is an additional $25 and you can borrow their electric bikes for free. I would be glad to stay a second night in this room, or longer in one of their bigger rooms. There are few other hotels that can match this style and service, especially at this price point.
