I was referred to Gizzelle and her team by The White Magnolia. They were very thorough and all the adjustments needed with my dress and did not cut corners. They even squeezed in an extra dress fitting for me to make sure everything was the way that I wanted it to be. I felt secure and beautiful in the final version of my dress. I would definitely recommend Gizzelle, Ann and Nancy. The only thing I cannot speak to is comparative cost. They do not give you a quote until they see the dress on you and because of my turnaround time with meeting the dress fitted, I did not shop around to find the best cost. But as I said I felt confident to leave my dress in their hands.

One of the highest rated couture seamstress' in the city for a reason. Gizzelle and her entire team are fabulous. They are talented, personable, and professional. When I decided to change my dress last minute, Gizzelle stayed late and worked hard to accommodate me and make sure everything was perfect for the big day. The energy is also so warm, welcoming and celebratory, which is a huge plus. 10/10. She also did an amazing job on my man's suit. I will remain a loyal customer of hers from now until forever..

I brought a bridesmaid dress to Gizzelle after a horrendous alterations job at another place and they completely fixed the dress (which was NOT an easy task) in a short turnaround and truly did an incredible job!!! I will never go anywhere else!!

Gizelle and her team made my dream wedding dress a reality! She came highly recommended from the shop where I purchased my wedding dress (The Sentimentalist) and I was thrilled when I made a dress fitting appointment. I did not have trouble booking an appointment or with availability although you do have to call as I wasn't able to find a website. I had four dress fittings where they did a ton of work on my dress - everything from sewing the separate top and skirt together, hemming and bustling an especially complex train and even created brand new straps of my dress. They are seriously artists there and what they can do with a dress is unbelievable. I was so in love with the finished product and how I felt in it on my wedding day and I have Gizelle and her team to thank for that! 10/10 would recommend Gizelle James for your wedding dress fitting! The details of my alterations were simple, but their customer service was amazing. They were SO NICE and graciously worked me in last minute (without an appointment, I didnt know how busy they were) and the turn around was so quick for something last minute for me. Everyone I met was so warm and personable and I even met Gizzelle and she was lovely too!
