Repairman came, introduced himself and went to work. He worked steady, replacing an evaporator fan motor in the air handler located in a tight space in the attic. He finished the repair, restarted the AC, asked if we had any questions and left. Great job.

AC was not maintaining the set temperature called Amtek the Tech called and said that he was 20 Min. out and he arrived earlier than the estimated time of arrival, quickly diagnosed and corrected the problem, and departed.

On Thursday evening we noticed the air handler was leaking water into our hallway. We called Amtek and they were here first thing in the morning to assess and turned out we had a major problem. Our whole system needed to be replaced. The very next morning (Saturday) Brandon and AJ started early and spent the entire day working hard to make sure everything was running perfect. Thanks to both of them everything was perfect! We could not have been happier with them. They even offered to bring the portable unit to make it a little more comfortable Friday night, which we declined. These guys are AMAZING! We’ve been with Amtek for a couple years now and we’ve never had an issue. But Brandon and AJ…what a perfect team! They were just EXCELLENT! My AC Unit ( Rheem) was 15 years old and was still working fine until this Company came in and installed a (Lennox Unit) which has been nothing but problems from day one and still have problems today 9/06/2021? Not to mention they try and sell you a Hurricane Pad?? They Tore up my Concrete Pad almost 2ft deep to Install a Fiberglass One? Really??.. From initial installation it lasted about 4 days due to a leak and had to run on Portable Units for a week being the Owner didn't want to pay for all the Freon?? I was told the AC Lines Underground were leaking? Turned out to be the New Unit had a leak!.. They gave me 1 Portable Unit for a 1400 sq ft home? I had to go Purchase 2 more Portables $ 800.00 just too stay cool until it was repaired ? $$$$ on Top of the New Unit $$$$...Now Every time they come out they try and service your unit, something either breaks or try and upsell you for something you don't need. Last episode, was my drain line was cracked under the foundation? Recently they scheduled a service call, then they cancelled and scheduled for the following week. Guess what, they never showed up or called to reschedule? 3 Days later my AC stops working again, turns out the new Air handler they installed had a broken fitting on the Air Handler for the Float Switch that they tried to Re-glue using (Blue PVC Cement) hoping it would hold ?? I hired a new Company to come out and fix their mistakes today.... Stay away from this Company...Still Having to run on Portables and Electric Bills have Doubled? Service: AC installation

They definitely misrepresented the scale of the problem and the true cost to fix the problem at hand. They broke the trust. While I will say they showed up, they basically took the opportunity to fleece my elderly father. The parts they recommended retail for less than $50 each, but they charged $1,000. On top of that, they also added a part that was NET NEW versus a replacement of something broken. The technician had ZERO customer service. They did not explain anything or leave something to review. When I called the office, I basically got the run around from the "management" which were only interested in money, not customer satisfaction. They obviously don't know how the dissatisfied customer process works. When I confronted him about this, he kept trying to switch the conversation and would not address the main point that they charged $1,000 for a $25 part. I stopped another HVAC guy at Home Depot and asked him, what do they charge to a capacitor change. He quoted $80. So, I would not recommend this group. It makes the industry look bad and it makes Florida look bad too!!! Very expensive lesson learned in Florida. Service: AC repair
