Worked with Tod and his assistant Mandi. Got a quick bid and a good price. They bent over backwards to procure a condenser unit so that we could have it installed before we left after the season. Had there tech Juan come out and meet the county inspector to make sure inspection went well. Highly recommend

A very good experience with Daniel, the technician, who did an excellent job reconstructing and sealing a vent pipe that connects the dryer and goes through through the roof. The area was difficult to work in, and took some time, but the result was great. Daniel was prompt on arrival, easy to work with, and cleaned the work area well. We would have him back again. My system is covered by the Lennox manufacturers warranty through 2031 and was registered with Lennox after we closed on the unit in 2021.Feb. 23-24th the unit stopped cooling. We placed a service request with SpeedyThe Speedy technician arrived the afternoon of Feb 24 and determined that the issue was a leaking evaporator coil in the air handler. The evaporator coil would have to be replaced. The charge for this service call was 113.00, which is reasonable for about 33 minutes of time. The part was to be ordered and the repair completed once the warranty parts were delivered. The quoted charge was for 909.00.Once the parts arrived the repair was scheduled for Mar 3. The technician arrived at 2:02PM and the job was partially completed by 4:12PM as noted on the invoice.During the repair I asked the technician if the filter-drier would be replaced as part of the repair since this is strongly recommended if the system piping is opened to atmosphere for any reason. He told me he had already replaced it at that time. I paid the charges as requested (1066.78) based on the 909.00 original quote plus 157.78 for 2 additional pounds of 410A refrigerant. At this point I was a quite concerned that required precautions were not being followed and shortcuts were being taken. The system appeared to be working after the repair but the technician had "taped" the drain line together at the air handler because he did not have a 3/4 inch CPVC coupling to reconnect the pipes properly. After the technician left (2 hours after arrival), I went to the outside condenser unit to make sure the filter drier had, in fact, been replaced. It had NOT been.On Mar 5 (Sunday) I emailed Speedy with my concerns and requested more details on the charges and an explanation for the filter drier NOT being replaced as I was told it was. Monday Mar 6 I received an invoice from Speedy for 1224.56. It appears they were trying to bill me for the 2 pounds of 410A refrigerant that was supposed to be included with the 909.00 original quote.Monday morning I also discovered that the "taped" joint in the drain had opened up and water had been leaking onto the floor for some time. I had to repair this issue myself to avoid further damage. On Tuesday Mar. 7 I received a reply from the Operations manager basically indicating that "all of the charges are very fair and average for the job that was done at your home". I beg to differ. The 78.89 per pound for 410A is debatable. The 375.61/hour labor charges are certainly excessiveTuesday evening at 6:32PM, the technician returned. He wanted me to look at the filter drier that he claims he had replaced during the repair on Mar. 3. When I went out to look at it, it had in fact been replaced with a gray colored unit. This was not there at 11:17AM that same morning. This is the first time in my life that I have ever posted a negative review for any service provider. I am normally very understanding when it comes to service providers and technicians. As a service engineer myself, I always had to justify my charges to the customer in detail for travel, labor, parts, and supplies. The difference being, I was never allowed to charge any customer for a warranty repair, even for labor. My instruments ranged in price from 50,000.00 to 1.2 Million each. My hourly rate was around 400-650.00 per hour. I guess the HVAC industry or Speedy in particular does not believe in transparency. Trust takes years to build and can be destroyed in just a few seconds.I will not be able to do business with Speedy in the future but I hope this is not indicative of how Speedy treats all customers. I do expect there will be issues with this unit in the future due to what I believe was improper brazing techniques. I can only hope that the filter drier does its job and is not overloaded by the oxidation products created by the brazing without nitrogen purge.
