Dollar Car Rental

Had a reservation and waited almost three hours to receive a car. Then received a damaged car. Not a good experience.

We received a defective rental car from Dollar at JAX. The alarm kept going off every 5 minutes on day 2 of the rental. We could not even leave the doors unlocked and the alarm was still beeping. We were asked to leave the STA Wildlife Sanctuary because the car was going off and freaking out the animals nearby. After we exchanged the car and told the CSR at the counter about the $70 we were not refunded from the wildlife park, the CSR say they would takr the $70 off the bill. Here I am nearly a month later and back and forth with Dollar and no $70 discount for inconvenience. Not to mention the hotel kept waking us up because the alarm went off all night. Understandable, but there was nothing we can do. The doors were unlocked, we could not use the fob, nothing! It just kept going off. We were staying in St. Augustine, an hour away. We had to drive the hour to get an exchange. I find it ridiculous they would not honor the $70!

Terrible Terrible Terrible experience with not only this Dollar Rental but also Expedia! Never again. We had booked our rental 6 weeks in advance. Flying into Jacksonville and driving to Orlando (3 hours). Delta arrived late and Dollar had NO vehicles to rent out, not even for those that had reservations. They just up and gave their entire fleet away, or at least that is what the poor lady at the counter was telling everyone. She wasn't the friendliest of people, but Dollar also did her wrong by making her sit there and deal with all of the angry customers, I wasn't the only one. Never use Expedia and never us dollar again!

Beware if your reservation is through another site other than theirs, as dollar will double charge you and refuse to refund. Absolute frauds
