image You should tell your receptionists to stop trying to answer medical questions. If a patient has a question they should be directed to a professional, not intervened at the front desk.

image I don't know about this place anymore. I have been going here for 15 years and this has been the worst two years. It is impossible to get an appointment at the Parkhill clinic with my PCP - even the schedulers were having issues getting through to Parkhill on our 4th try. I left it alone and went to urgent care. There, with a leg injury I was made to walk across the street on my injured leg for an x-ray. The nurse said he would get a wheelchair for me to wheel me back, but he left for good and I was made to walk back to urgent care on my injured leg. Afterwards, the provider and the nurse never gave me information on what the injury could be and how long to leave the knee brace on! Hours during the day, how many weeks. It's like it was everyone's first day at work or school.
Communication between docs and nurses at Parkhill seems nil. It's impossible to get followup care after an emergency visit at Parkhill. Which is very isolating. The nurse told me they (nurses & docs)are allowed 7 business days to respond to a non-urgent message, but by that time my injury was getting worse. The only options are to either wait two months OR MORE for an appointment - I was actually told to call back in two months to book an appointment so that would be 4 or 5 months for an appointment for injury and appointment for ER follow-up, or just go to urgent care. I ended up at the UCHealth emergency room!!!
Also, it took a year and a half to finally diagnose a partially torn rotator cuff! I had all the symptoms but wasn't taken seriously - again at Parkhill. I told them about the numbness, pain, my arms feels "disconnected", and was given over to physical therapy. The pain persisted and was FINALLY able to get an MRI. Again, it was very isolating and very sad for me.
The front desk staff at Parkhill either don't answer their phone or hang up on patients either intentionally or by severe lack of training which has happened throughout my entire time there. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it's becoming harmful to the patient. And we know that DO NO HARM is part of the hippocratic oath.
The front desk staff at Parkhill isn't professional and are not welcoming anymore.
I have lost faith in Denver Health. It used to be the best, but there seems to be so much turnover and conflict that the patient suffers to the point of multiple emergency room visits when it can be prevented. And the bills $$. The patient suffers!
This place now scares me. I don't know if I will come out better here anymore. I have to research on leaving to save my life, my health, and mental well being.
