First please know that I have NEVER publically complained about accommodations before in my life. I'm usually pretty accepting. But this stay marks the FINAL time I'll ever even consider staying at this hotel chain, as the quality has gone for a steep nosedive since my first (of 3 total) stay with then in 2007. The room was filthy. A thick layer of dust on all the door frames, baseboards, sprinkler, etc. I could see "drips" down the walls - what is THAT?!? The fire/smoke alarm was missing - just wires hanging out of the box in the ceiling - did not make me feel safe. It was very noisy - apparently my room was directly over a hookah lounge/club. Earplugs did take care of that, though. I had fruit flies for un-welcome room mates. Managed to kill three, two remained. The description says "breakfast included"... OK: if your idea of breakfast is manufactured, pre-packaged waffles from a toaster, stale cereal, toast or yogurt in a cramped back room then have at 'er. Lastly: the room was cramped and the towels were skimpy, old and rough. On the plus side: the staff were nice, the bed was comfortable and the drain in the tub worked. I realize this is not the Hilton or the Hyatt, but come ON! Doesn't Wyndham care about their brand at all? Not everyone can afford the high hotel rates in San Francisco, and it would be nice to have a clean, comfortable option that is still relatively well-located.
