Final update: Budget team reached out to reverse the cancellation charge, so adding a star for eventually doing the right thing.
Update to original post below: They charged me $50.00 for not cancelling the reservation....the one that they cancelled on me! Called the Budget 800 number and was told I had to call Expedia to reverse the charges...but the charges are clearly from Budget. This is so painful. Fair warning. Let's see how Budget responds to the email I sent at their suggestion.
(original post) Made a reservation well in advance. Turns out a noon pickup is like an appointment. If you dont show up on time they simply give away the car and say sorry, we have no cars. Good thing hotels dont do that! Dont risk it. The low prices are for a reason. I will stick with the main airport rental location in the future.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Placed a reservation a month in advanced. Within 24 hours of me picking the car up I'm told no cars will be available with no compensation or additional information. Absolute shameful "business". DO NOT COME HERE.

This place is run by crooks!!!!! DO NOT COME HERE! We returned a car on the day we embarked onto our cruise at this location. We first got there when its supposed to open at 10am but a note was placed on the door saying they were out getting a car and to call a number. So, called the number and no answer and a voicemail was left. Then we waited for about half an hour and finally someone called back and a staff came out to meet us at the car. He then told us he will take care of it from there and then we proceeded to the cruise terminal.
My husband noticed Budget did not charge his credit card for a long time until he received a billing statement like two weeks later. We only rented the car for 2.5 days and the bill came to over USD$1,100!!!! We were just beside ourselves cuz the statement shows that the car was dropped off all the way in Van Nuys like 5 days later! That means we were charged for those extra days for no reason! We were on a cruise ship out in the middle of the ocean!
Anyway, my husband was able to contact Budget customer service and resolved the issue. Now, we are just waiting for our credit card to be adjusted accordingly. But again, this location is shady as hell! Do NOT go there!!!
